I'm all for tactical bumps and stuff, but I don't think this fits hurling. The game is dangerous enough with sticks everywhere and that hard little ball flying around. I think this is outside the spirit of the game... maybe in Australian Football it's ok, but even then, I think the ball had gone and it was now behind play.

It was lucky that Tyrell didn't break a few ribs. He was at the same thing again this year, thankfully the ref had a bit of sense and gave him a booking. What happens if he does that again and a player has a serious injury?

It wasn't that long ago that this would have been completely acceptable. Although that said it shouldn't have been here. apart from this and the penalty I thought Kirwan did a great job last year. He let it turn into a brilliant game. Admittedly the penalty fuck up was a big one.

@keanemeister.Callinan got his own back in this years final, scoring the two points that killed KK as soon as he got on the field. Tipp were young and inexperienced in 09 but still should of won. No mistakes in 2010. KK need to regroup and get new blood as their current team of Shefflin etc will never beat this Tipp team again. This young Tipp team has taken the game up another notch. KK can regroup and try match them or else end up like another Wexford.

Hold your horses there buddy. Tipperary have taken the game up a notch in some aspects. They're yet to prove that the intensity they showed against Kilkenny is an integral part of their game. Ultimately, Kilkenny have only lost a game. That's all. Tipp might go on and win more, but they might not.
