@trackspike64 Right now, the new base is only sold separately. According to the Scalextric 2011 catalog, there will be a new "Digital Platinum" set that comes with the new base, a large track, and 6 cars as well as the controllers and power supplies needed. At 500 quid, probably about 700 US, it's a pretty good deal for all that comes in the set. More bases should be on the shelves soon (sold out most places right now), and the new set will probably come out in the spring.
Can I ask when we can expect video four . no idea how the yellow flag option works or who presses the button to operate this . keep up the good work .
@pauloasis Alas, I have other things in my life that need doing. I have it mostly written, though, and should be able to begin filming next week. If nothing else comes up, I could have it done by the end of the month.

True, it was my little demo...angel that said she wanted the car game. Only because the wife was in Toys R Us at the same time i got away with that. Coupla hundred pounds on a digital upgrade will be an uphill struggle :) On the plus side, I been told I get the loft all to myself- pics on forum to follow...
@SnorriMc Excellent. you're half way there. Does she watch motorsports with you? If so, you could get her excited about more realistic racing with the new power base. All it takes is a high ranking on the Christmas list to Santa for it to be a shoe in under the tree. ;-)

This is very helpful. I can't understand the PB manual and it's been driving me mad (pardon the pun). I'm going to use your info videos from now on.
This one will come in handy - now I can set up 6 pace cars to run my Suzuka circuit while I make a video...
