the reason the black one was lifted was because the heat comes out from the keyboard. you should try to make like vents for it but, i wouldn't put it on because it could over heat your computer.

i think i know why the "water marks" are there. i think when you push down the keys it makes a weak vaccum, and when they go back up, the air goes up and makes space.

I actually think Marware revised their design for the clear keyboard protector. I just picked one up at the Apple Store, I got it. The microfiber is packaged different than the one in Carlos' vid, and I have not experienced the watermarking that he and some of you guys have.

Hey M, pour warm water in a pan, and stick the silicone protector in. Let it sit for 10 minutes and the grooves/Bumps from the box will dissapear. Hope this helps!!

i got the white colour one for my new macbook...u should have bought the white colour one because it doesnt show any water marks and you also can see the LCD clearly because the sides of the buttons on the keyboards are transparent....its also quite good.. anyways good video..

You should try it with the MacBook off to see if the "breathing" is the issue.

The watermarks is because of the material that is used in the keys; its because the keys get shinny, the more you use them the shini-er they get, it happened to me with the black MacBook & it may happen to me with my new MacBook if I don´t get protection soon.

By the way, you said you were not sure what application popped up when you were typing on your Macbook keyboard. It was the file preview mode. Press space bar when you have a file or folder highlighted to preview that file (text, photo, video, etc.) It is really helpful when you have a ton of files to examine, but you don't feel like opening all the applications necessary to do it.

However, I'm seriously considering switching over to the Marware as it seems (from your video) that their product is superior. Their packaging most definitely is, and the inclusion of the micro fiber cloth while staying cost competitive with the other two brands is a big plus.

Just an FYI, both those covers also work on the new 17 inch MacBook Pro as well.
