I remember watching this first time. and thinking either he is really sad or ill. and bugger me if he wasnt both at the time. my heart breaks a little everytime i watch this. Bless him :') It's really sweet of him to sing after losing his voice because of "Ballgate". He said in 'I Am What I Am' (his autobiography) "I'd crashed physically and psycologically. I'd completly lost my voice and every part of my body ached" and "At the weekend I had my voice back but I still wasn't 100 per cent. I sang 'What About Us' at the Royal Variety Performance - and I sounded like shit." Yet he still sang and performed for his fans. Whatta ledged. I ♥ him!

In his books he says that he did this not long after the "Ballgate" incident and he sounded like that because he was physically and emotionally drained from it all, but being the god-like man that he is, he did this for us anyway!!!

Ooohh, not his best performance. You can really tell that he's not 100%, his voice just couldn't hit the higher notes. I'm surprised he'd even want to go perform when he knew he wasn't at his best.

The gay couple appears at about 2:15 and agan at 2:45. 3:01 the gays are center stage. The guys are a bit skinny and waify so they blend in a bit with the women, I think.

Poor John... with a cold and poor background singers,... I am sure he was not happy with the performance. It was OK, but John's done better.

i dissagree i think im not so skinny to be honest! just got put in really slimming clothing lol and waify wasnt what we were going for more fluid but each to there own hope you enjoyed it as john was really not very well at all and in no state to sing but he insisted true performer! loved working with him!!!!!
