Who could ever dislike this song. Amazing. I thought the version by Eliza Bennett was more than outstanding, but Tom Baxter is definitely better, if it could ever be. It goes perfect with the movie "Trust"
I was raped May of last year. Was drugged. But seeing someone go through the same emotions, that I went through, was a bit releaving. I watched it to.. to get me to cry over it because I've locked it all up.
I can't keep running away..
So i'm gonna be stronger. I'm gonna be better made. I'm gonna give everything just to bring me back again.
@thejacksonfamily121 I'm was going to vote don't like for trolling purposes... but I don't have the balls to do, the song and the movie(trust) is so good. =]
@helenmildred no he wasn't tylers teacher, they just used that bit to show us that it coud be anyone, form a well respected professor to the president! and i agree ending sucked but was reality :(
I have a question... at the end of the movie was "Charlie" Annie's brothers Physics teacher?
Aside that, people who say the ending was sad, yes it was, but it was also true to life: Not everything ends like The Lovely Bones, and people get away with all kinds of shit. "Charlie" escaped because that's life. People DO get away with things. And the fact that the movie enforced this and didn't give us a typical Hollywood happy ending is brilliant. Amazing movie.
Love this song!! Listen this everyday. On my computer or on my phone. I love it!! And I didn't seen Trust.. But I want to see it. I know there's a women version of this but I love this version!!
@Beyzakkus Your welcome, thanks for the comment, I hadnt seen the film when I put this up I just thought the lyrics and his voice were amazing, the other versions are nice but he sings with emotion :)
this movie was absolutely incredible. i was taken advantage of by an internet predator, and im a strong, together, successful, mature woman. not an idiot like @BBoyMikoRein is accusing victims of being. i had to rebuild my entire life after they destroyed it, and my trust in people, and worst of all- my relationship. internet predators are so dangerous and they affect thousands every day. this movie was a wonderful and awful depiction of that. wonderful ending song. strength to all of us <3
You can't say she was stupid, i've been there when i was 14, and seriously to be perfectly honest, after being groomed like that you truly truly believe to the bottom of your heart that he loved and loves you. Because the minute you reslise he didn't, your world crashes down and it hurts so so much. it's like having your heart ripped out in front of you and showed to the world and perfect strangers...
Yes the movie Trust brought me to this song directly after. Everyone keeps syaing stupid girl. You must realize, shes like 15 and blind to the evil that humans are capable of. You can't imagine how alone she must have felt after that or how she felt she had to seperate herself. Good Flic.
@morrak666 Its not just teenagers. This kind of manipulation goes on all over the net with different age groups! What is sad is that sickos out there are getting away with this! Good movie to bring this home to people!
The ending was perfect. If it makes you feel uncomfortable, imagine what it feels like to have been in the situation - whether victim, family of victim, or family of the pedifile. The pain never ends. Lives are destroyed. The damage and consequences affect you day after day and take you down unexpectedly for what, the next 60, 70, 80 years? Rarely, is the sexual preditor caught and his life continues on... happy and unchanged. It should make you uncomfortable because it is reality. Well done.
@anoukofficial Yeah its definetly the same version but I know what you mean as I watched the movie a few days ago and the speed of the song sounded different but this is definetly the original version. :)
@anoukofficial This song here is 2 steps down in pitch and has a slower tempo than the version in Trust, it sounds like same recording though that was edited for the movie.
@Minwingo I can see why you think that as it’s quite dramatic and the words are along similar lines but I really don’t know about being a Christian, sorry. I’ve noticed a lot of modern Christian songs use rock, pop type of melodies though as they use to sound like a separate genre but it’s more difficult to separate them from the mainstream music now. :)
@BBoyMikoRein I had to find it right after I saw it too. So beautiful, and very relative to people of many walks of life.
It was unfortunate how the situation turned out in the film, but all I can say is you would have to be in her head to know exactly what made her continue to want to see this guy. She also didn't understand that he didn't love her until later. Fact is she felt special and important to this guy and he took advantage of her desires, making her believe that everything was real.
About a month ago, I was reading reviews on 'The Conspirator' on IMDB when 'Trust' showed up under 'Recommendations'. Finally I found some time to watch Trust, and I was absolutely blown away! Hats off to Mr. David Schwimmer, and thanks IMDB! The Conspirator was phenomenal and Trust, well, IMDB's recommendations have not disappointed me so far! :)
LO QUE YO NO ACABO DE ENTENDER ES,COMO ES QUE UN ARTISTA COMO ESTE,NINGUNOS DE ESTOS PENDEJOS QUE JODEN POR AQUI LE DEN EL MERECIDO VALOR,PARECE ,QUE HAY QUE HACER UN MALDITO NEGOCIO CON EL DIABLO PARA UNO PEGARSE.,Y QUE TE RECONOSCAN Y TE ACLAMEN.......O A LO MEJOR ES MEJOR ASI,QUE BUENO TOM BAXTER,SIGUE ASI TE ABMIRO.
Do not continue reading this comment if you haven't watched the movie trust yet.
*SPOILER**
I really liked the movie and I loved the ending, but at the same time I hated the ending because he never got caught. The scene during the credits was interesting. Anyways great movie!
Again - "Trust". Song is beautiful, Clive Owen was amazing, and yeap, that girl... Well, I still can't believe, how incredibly naive and underdeveloped she was.
Ive never seen the movie but after reading your comments I read about it and I think everyone is vulnerable to being manipulated at any age and this would be more so for a teenager. Most teenies think they know it all but have experienced very little and the majority of them are fortunate enough to have parents watching them to make sure they are safe even if understandable they resent the limitations to their freedom.
@BBoyMikoRein Innocence is not Idiotic..... Men Boys who think that someone elses body is there for them to use and abuse ... THEY ARE THE IDIOTS......
I just watched the movie "Trust" And i loved this song, felt like a creeper cuz I found the song in less than a minute. damn i should join CSI or something
I found this song right away and I dont feel like a creeper nor am I arrogant enough to think I should be part of the CSI (without proper years and years of training)
Obviously you don't get it. Perhaps you were joking. But you were definitely being arrogant either way. So I felt like commenting to tell you that you're not special. But you're probably a young teenager so understandable. Anyways if you even bother to reply I am not going read your reply or even reply myself.
I just watched the movie "Trust", felt touched by the movie and this song. Trust is a beautiful movie with an unhappy ending. The girl, Annie, made a mistake because of her innocent, got hurt, and eventually learned how to accept the reality. So did her family members! I think the song is perfect match for the movie. The lyric reminds us that we have enough strength to strive to be better and shouldn't accept defeat easily. Life doesn't end yet when you think you are unable to continue...
I think the movie was supposed to shopw us all just how vulnerable our children are in the age of the internet and how we should be very very carefull and wary of what they are able to access whilst trying to respect there rights to privacy.......
Who could ever dislike this song. Amazing. I thought the version by Eliza Bennett was more than outstanding, but Tom Baxter is definitely better, if it could ever be. It goes perfect with the movie "Trust"
