With my AFII, do I still need a USB interface since the axe itself is able to be used by usb into my mac? Or is it still wise to pick up a fast track. What kind of set up would I do for it?
what do you use for drums? im taking a guess that its superior drummer? and if so which drum samples do you use, for example drums from hell, avatar kit?
and is the axefx good for bass as well?
love your setup btw, i made a budget for what i was gonna buy like 3 months ago and its pretty much exactly the same as yours haha
does the firewire go into the axe fx? or the computer. im new to all of this and have a macbook for my recordings, and some M-audio monitors but until i get my axe-fx im using just a zoom g2.1nu interface
@Slash01 I've read that for mastering you want to EQ before compression so that the compression 'squeezes it all out equally' or something like that. Opionion?
@SeanStephensen Hmmm, not the way i see it. If you EQ before a compressor, it does what you said. So why EQ before it, because it'll hardly make any difference once it's went through compressor and been all squished back into something else.
Great gear dude. Awesome schecter and ibanez. But most of all congrats and my respects on your work on mixing and masteringeach song....that is some serious quality sound. Keep it up!!!!
Is the axe fx good for direct-in recording? Will I be able to get a great sound that way? or will it feel like I'm playing some crappy amp modeling software?
@circleofpit Mainly for expansion later on, when i have more stuff, it stops me needing more than one plug. But also it protects against power surges at gigs and i've played some dodgy venues...
@Slash01 Hey dude, with the Tannoy 5A speakers what cables/jacks are required to get them into the back of the computer, I'm buying these in about 3 weeks, reviews are all good and you use them whihc is promising, jus need to know connection requirements then I can get some Eyes a' poppin and Jaws a' droppin XD Cheers
Thanks for making this vid. love you're playing style and your sound is better than most artists that record in a pro studio.... now i need to learn how to use this stuff lol.
im buying a new guitar and just wondering if the rgt6exfx is worth buying.. but the thing is my m8 tells me to get a 7 string, wondering should i get 7 string or the rgt6xfx
Nice equipment man, I've recently bought a schecter c-7 standard, which came with the black seymour duncan active pickups, SO nice to play, kinda makes me not want to play a 6-string anymore haha :D
Rest of the equipment = hench.
Noticed the 360 game, don't suppose you or any of the entrosolet boys play COD (MW2)?
what is that "white tape" at the end of your schecter near the head? like a type of wire tape or something? cause im tired of the ringing lol. Thanks for your time
@sicNHLmaggot1 Just some tape I found lying around, not sure what it's meant for, the ideal thing to have would be a slice of foam to sit underneath the strings
You should do a tutorial on how to program in your drums. I think that is probably the hardest thing for beginning recorders. Nice video and keep it up.
@gtrraider84 I would agree. I would love to see a video on drum editing. I use ez drummer but would love to see a tutorial on drum editing with metal riffs/song structure. thanks for the video. was wondering for awhile what program was used for the synth sounds. Can't wait for the ep.
nice setup, i've always wondered what setup you used. you've got quite some skill to mix and master, im still learning. how to you afford all this? the prices are unreal for most of this equip. keep up the good work. i cant wait for the EP, i love all your music and look forward to buying/downlaoding it., btw what songs were in the video? i liked them(:
@NerosR3solution First one is a little thing by fredrik thorendal called 33 demo. The second one is inertia by periphery and the third is just a little synth thing i made up ages ago
@ourgamingfun How do you mean? haha, firewire is only used for the interface, a mic is an xlr input to firewire interface, but you can't mic an axe fx unless you have it running through a cabinet, which I don't
@Slash01 ahhhh thanks see im new too all this i just started practicing makeing and recording songs into mixcraft and useing beatcraft for a drum machine but thank you. keep you the great music

Usually just a compresser followed by EQ and a harmonic exciter
