  • I was lucky to see these guys shortly before Thomasson died, it was a great show.

  • I saw them last month at a club we're reviving in Mill Valley, California. Thank God for good solid rock, small music clubs, and purity in music.

  • Heard this one 20 yeers back on an southern compilation. the first reaction was like an awe. So this is the Outlaws! Huh!

  • @lukemanify i remember mowing grass in jr high, and a neighbor gave me an old mix tape he had, first three cuts: there goes another love song, hurry sundown, green grass and high tides, been a fan ever since

  • Seen them in june '77 at the infamous Hollywood Sportatorium open up for BadCo on the Running with the pack tour. The Outlaws stole the show imo and to this day are one of my favorates. Looking back on that show 35 years later who would have thought they'd still be everything today they were then when so many great bands of that era arent even remembered. We who seen them live in the "good ole days" dare I say it where truly blessed and can walk down memory lane. thanks for sharing this with us.

  • I used to watch them play in a garage in Brandon Florida. Best of times. Southern rock!!!

  • Saw the Outlaws in 1981 with Molly Hatchet. Molly Hatchet opened and just blew us away. Then the Outlaws came on and it just got better. This is the music of my life.

  • Went to HS in 73 joined the Navy in 77 and was from Tampa also, Florida had the greatest bands of the 70's, Skynyrd, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet need I list the others? or is that enough? :)

  • You have to be a pussy if you don't like the outlaws!

  • I wore this album "plum slap out " !...thanks for sharin'...KEEP IT ALIVE !...

  • Late night doobies, the Outlaws then the Atlanta Rythm Section ...

  • the 70's were laid back...big brother wasnt watchin then..u could go to ur car, smoke a jay and go bak in the club and enjoy the band!!

  • @fkutwo You know it!

  • @fkutwo You could even get some cola relatively easy and cheap.

  • I remember when I was going steady with Huey in jr hbigh used to go watch theband practice,,he was so cool RIP HueyThomasson

  • Just clicked on this and already like, gunna keep a trolln.

  • @klimber1000

I lived through the seventies. For every killer guitar rock song like this there were a couple of disco abominations or several glam rock gender-bending atrocities. Thank God we had music like this to turn to.

  • the best years for music/drugs/sports/movies was circa 1964'- 1980' give or take... then it fizzled out!....miss drive-in movie's, pull top beer cans, 40$ lid's...

  • My dad was at that concert! I'm so jealous!

. Your nephew turned into a fine young man because of your mom.

  • MAKE MINE AMAZING GRACE

  • I saw the outlaws up in Radford,va at the River festival in 1980 and saw this chick take off her top to this song...It had a lasting impression to say the least

  • The best music in the world was the 1970's. If you live in Arizona Turn your radio station to 103.1 all classics. NO, I MEAN NO COMMERCIALS

  • Amen, Kimber1000 the times of my life !

  • no shit!

  • my cat purrs when i play this song omg!

  • @half1962 Ah! Another mesc AND music lover! My nickname was Lady Mesc. These musicians (and ones like them) really meant it when they sang and played.

  • Brings me back to high school & I hated high school but I love this and the foggy memories that go with it

  • The Guitar Army!!

  • This was popular when I was young, carefree, stoned, and flush with cash! Sometimes miss those days.

  • this reminds me of my dad =) he played a tape of the outlaws when i was 12 and i LOVED it! a month later he bought me my own copy we had very little money when i was young but he still said it was a "needed item".

  • were the 70's really better? nope. i think WE were better in the 70's.

  • @klimber1000 you cant. we're fucked. world gets shittier by the day. enjoy the relics of the past as much as you can.

  • beautiful

    and perfect

  • beautiful

  • I'm 16 and I literally discovered this band today. This kinda makes me with I grew up in the 70's. I love this band and to hell with what any of my friends (who are into more 'modern' music) think about it.

  • @Stormforce101 I meant to say 'Wish' not 'with'

  • I love this song - it's so spooky . . . still.

  • 1 person will be hung.

  • I'd almost forgotten how good these guys are. Green Grass, Ghost Riders, Hurry Sundown . . if these songs down stir you deep down, you're dead.

  • GREAT SONG INDEED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lynyrd Skynyrd was "The Beginning"....Followed by "The Outlaws"..."The Rossington Collins Band"...What a talented group of musicians that brought upon us enjoyment and a form of music never to be repeated again.

  • i love this song. The first solo is so damn aggressive! What a band.

  • a haunting, bewitching sound. i am the cowboy. fast deadly shot.

  • bring it back alive

  • I hear you klimber1000, I too wish to go back in time when the world was a better place and so much more relaxed.

  • These guys are the best in concert....the 70's was a very good time for southern rock...Molly Hatchett, Outlaws, Blackfoot, Lynerd, allman bros,

  • The only song of this genre I like. . . but oh do I love it! It got airplay when I was in high school. Sweet memories.

  • never heard of this before and found it beucase its similar to hawkwind hurry on sundown. in name only, this is excellent really glad i found it

  • im 17 and i wish soooooo bad i could've been born in the 60s to grow up with all this great music but im seeing the band live this Friday !

  • @shadetheman117 I wish you could have seen this band in their prime, they were awesome. unfortunatly, all you saw was a cover band doing their songs. Other than, maybe, Henry Paul, there hasn't been an original member in some years. P.S. Total respect for you being into this music at your age.

  • Just a great song by these guys. I love hearing it.

  • this song is fucking badass

  • If you mixed The Eagles with Led Zepplin you would get The Outlaws.

  • One of the best by the Outlaws

  • Requested this song played at my wake.................... studio version, of course!

  • AWESOME!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING! BRINGS ME BACK TO WHEN I WAS 16 AND I THOUGHT I KNEW EVERYTHING!

  • R.I.P all legendary southern rockers that have since past away.

  • The florida guitar army!! amazing show!!

  • hair as black as darkness and eyes of emerald green ooh she loved to sing. hmm? Me? Forget Amazing Grace. Throw my ashes over the plains and play this song,.

  • These guys don't smoke pot no never lmao.

  • Definatley one of the most underrated bands of all time, I saw them for the first time last year, and after all these years they still sound fantastic, I got chills the whole concert. I just wish I coulda seen them in like the 70's and 80s, I love this song

  • @creamer1968 - amen - underated for sure - great music, great musicians - so much great music - they don't make em like these guys anymore

  • Good grief! I just got chills. These guys are unbelievable...forgot all about them until I stumbled on them here. Whoohoo!

  • I freaking love these guys but they aren't very attractive looking are they? Oh well... They make up for it in awesomeness. :)

  • Proper rock. As cool and as great as it gets. Cheers

  • Loved the Outlaws for years but who was playing lead guitar on this one? Very under=ated band Cold Harbor was their best even better than this even. This song invokes memories of crazy moonlight keggars in northwestern Wyoming where we had live music back in the early and mid-70s

  • I saw them live. One of the most underrated bands I've ever heard.

  • DEFINATLY one of the most underrated bands of all time. Fantastic song, and I actually saw these guys live earlier this year, being as old as they are they can still Rock out! 5 stars definatly, great post man :)
