MERCI A VOUS TOUJOURS UN PLAISIR !!!!

    AMITIÉ RAYMOND !!!!!!!

  • @TheFredenucci Grazie

  • Stunning - it gives me the chills. Maestro elicits so many detaisl I think many of his performances were done in STEREO.

    Postee- Mille Grazie -John

  • Right on time, 9:19-9:21!

  • Perhaps the greatest string sections ever assembled in one orchestra. Just listen to those cellos at the outset! Listen to the technique of the violins @ 9:01-:21--extraordinary!

And how much better they all sounded in Carnegie Hall rather than the rotten Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center.

  • @maxreger100 Dont say that about the Studio 8-H

There are Many many wonderful recordings made in the Glorious Studio 8H

    Examples:

    Beethoven 1939 Symphonies (1 to 9)

    Skaters Waltz

    etc etc etc

  • @YTM021807

I'm glad you have good memories of Studio 8H recordings, but it was SPECIFICALLY constructed to keep the human voice from reverberating on radio broadcasts. (clarity was paramount) This made it a rather sterile, unflattering hall for musical reproduction.

Almost every musician is now gone from those halcyon days, but my father was in the NBC and the general opinion of the musicians was that 8H was a very dry studio for musical reproduction.

  • @LiLaShows It was made to accomodate Maestro Arturo Toscanini specifications or wishes. Microphone placement was critical. The 1950 Debussy La Mer is a wonderful example. The Verdi AIDA of 1949 IS completely pleasing and awesome. One of the most famous was the TV broadcast of the Dvorak Symphonic Variations. It is a beauty!! Toscanini liked clear acoustics of the Studio 8H

    I like the acoustics too!!

  • This 1952 recording and the made in 1953 are both tremendously beautiful and awesome!

    What an extraordinary video!!

And the 'crescendo' from min. 3:30 is awesome.... nobody conducted the Gugliemo tell like this since!!!

Thank you for posting this video!

  • @sidecarural Grazie a te.

  • Thank you so much my good friend. This is amazing!!! Molte grazie, danke, gracias, thanks.

  • @SteveAndrewLangford Grazie a te.
