The makers of the film called it, "Kill Bill", because Bill tried to kill one of his assassins when she tried to leave Bill, marry a young man, and have an ordinary life. Bill was jealous and wanted to keep her for himself. Bill killed her husband and just about killed her. She then went after Bill.

Zatoichi was way ahead of its time. Think about it. Blind samaritan wanders through feudal Japan defeating evil with katana. Its classic. Tarantino relies on gore. Especially the hidious toe shots. WTF He should have called in a toe double. Ill never look at her the same again after seeing her toes.
