Sweet video bro, man those we're some good races!! I'm planning on getting an Evo 9 MR this summer myself. I was just wondering though, cuz I'm still hearing two sides to it, is it wise to modify an Evo 9 MR, or is it better to have a RS model? A lot of ppl on the Mitsubishi forum say its wise to just build up from the 5-speed model, but my best friend whose planning on getting a Subie WRX Impreza STI says a 6 speed is more for the track, but I should still go after the MR. What do u think man?

@SynysterAndre the 6 speed found in the MR is actually weaker than the 5 speed found in the GSR and RS models. If you plan on staying relatively stock (eg. turbo back, fuel pump, flash, etc.) than you will be fine with the MR. If you plan on going with a bigger turbo and much higher horse power, your gonna want the beefier 5 speed to handle it.

@SynysterAndre The 6 speed even gets 1 MPG less than the 5 speed. They have the same top speeds and first gear in the MR's 6 speed is so short your gonna wonder why its even there.

Now in my opinion, the Evo 9 SE is your best bet. Its basically an MR with a 5 speed. You still get all the aluminom body parts and the HID headlights offered in the MR and no shitty 6 speed

Hey man, thanks a lot bro! Those are some really good things to consider for my choice of Evo 9. Are u by any chance on the Mitsubishi forum? It obviously sounds like u own an Evo as well and if so, which one? I'm planning to test drive all trims on the Evo 9 pretty soon(RS,SE,and MR), so hopefully I'll spot out that weak 1st gear on the MR u mentioned. And when all is said and done, I'll probably end up getting the SE, 5 speed with all the MR features included. Thanks again man! : )
