I agree with what Rachel Maddow said in the beginning of this clip. It is not fair to re-litigate an issue after the other party has left. She then says she "will not try to do that now." Then she goes on to do just that. Tell me how this sounds instead: America was envisioned by the founding fathers, and was *constructed* by black slaves. Both are factually true. Now, in between, we need to remember that the blacks suffered as slaves, but it certainly gives credit where it is due.

She says that America could never have risen to the economic status that it did without slaves working on plantations. However, America, being probably the first "free country," was going to rise greatly economically with or without slaves. I agree with what Rachel Maddow said in the beginning of this clip. It is not fair to re-litigate an issue after the other party has left. She then says she "will not try to do that now." Then she goes on to do just that. It is a real cheap shot to make all those assertion without giving Pat a chance to respond and after Rachel had an entire "research team" (her words) researching the issue. Rachel could not win the live argument so she cheats like this. Many of her claims are misleading.

Before you even say it, yes dems, libs, independents, etc misrepresent facts as well, but unlike FOX news other networks actually try and fact check as much as possible. Some reporters believe in credibility and if you know anything about Rachel Maddow she is one of the last TRUE journalists/reporters out there.

Instead in his anger he went on to talk about Normandy, etc.... What is important is that 99% of all innovations, in politics, science and law, were white based and mostly Anglo-saxon in the case of the USA. I am a scientist: I almost never saw African Americans in conferences. Sad but true.
