  • Our oldest bearded dragon has the run off the house, he knows where his hotspot is, and wears a bell as so us humans won't step on him or lose him. I posted u a video too TC

  • I've have mine for 10 weeks there great pets its awesome feeding them live food mine loves live food.

  • How much if a difference does the electricity bill get?

  • @earthling1984 where did you get your bearded dragons

  • David spade!! I love your work!!

  • how many inches were ur beardies on this vid

  • very helpful video

  • This is a really really useful video. It's funny you mentioned leopard geckos because I was torn between getting a bearded dragon or a gecko as iv heard good and bad points about them both, so which would you recommend and why? And can you buy dead insects or do they have to be alive? Thank you

  • @Trisscar it actually takes about half an hour because you need to have the hot sidebto be as warm as you need and then you put the beardy in but overall just decor isn't even 5 minutes

  • I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in the video but roughly how long does their cage take to set up?

  • Hey Earthling I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP! I have a female beardie and she is fifteen inches and is ina 90 gallon tank.I want to introduce a male to her. How should I do that??? A guy at the local pet store said that the male will constantly try to breed with her? Is that true? Will getting a male make my female unhappy?? Can you PLEASE re[ply! Thank You

  • which sex of bearded dragon is better to get male or female

  • Ive watched this vid loads ! i love the vid and really helpt me make sure you keep up the vids ! :)

  • I am planning to get a beardie and ive gone to the pet shop and found out how much they are but what i need to know is how much do you spend in a week on food and whats the maximum you have spent. also what would be the best thing to buy for a baby and the best thing for an adult.

  • Your hair matches your beardies. lol

  • mne would still be alive if i wached this insted i wached exspert village i lisent to them and a month later my beardie was deead

  • how much crickets u need to feed an adult a day

  • is there anyway you can trim their nails?

  • @reptilegirl9 You can use rough ceramic tiles (not smooth) in his cage to file them down. Or just nail clippers, be careful not to trim to the quick though.

  • Its Chad from Nickelback!

  • im planning on gettin and adult because the owner doesnt him any more, would it be ok to feed it on pinky mice, pellets and veg?

already have the pinkys for the corn snake,

  • @iaevilmonkey pinkie mice are ok from time to time, but insects are a better choice. As an adult the main food will be veggies/pellets anyways, so a pinkie like once a week, and crickets or insects some other day of the week(so two days meat) then the rest of the days just veggies, should be good.

  • could you tell me what is the site that you buy the crickets in bulk from?

  • i really need you to answer my question i have a male beardie 1 year old what would be the best beardie to put with it ?? what sex

  • @drawinggames4u sometimes two males can / will fight. Best to put with a female but then breeding may occur. You also need a large cage for two of them.

  • actually, like those beardies you have there one of my leopard geckos sits on my shoulder to :)

  • hey thanks for the vid helped me out lots i have not got a bearded dragon yet soo would u be able to make a vid of ur set up to give me an idear ?? thanks

  • whys its eyes giant! mine dont pop out of its head!!

  • do you know the morph of your female? is it a hypo citrus tiger? she is very beautiful

  • so a baby would be better ? how often would i have to feed them and how much?

  • @OMGITJJ babies eat mostly insects, and you should feed pretty much daily a few crickets and sometimes mix in other insects. As your bearded dragon ages their diet will switch to mostly veggies.

  • Hi great video answered a lot of questions :) ideas thinking of getting and Adult beardie but now I'm going for A baby one so it can really be mine and Can The baby beardie live in a 30 gallon viv for a year ?

    Cheers~Pat

  • @MrPatrico27 well yes, but best to just start with a 55gal so you're all setup and ready for it's whole life.

  • @korasi28 just buy you 50 gallon so you don't have to buy 2 tanks :-P

  • i have a red bearded dragon and a regular one in the same 55 gallon tank... is that ok???

  • I've got a BD, named Charizard, I don't have a cage for him yet, and he seems fine with it.

  • i had a bearded dragon for like 15 years somone couldnt take it to were they were moving.............i honeslty didnt do annnnnnyyyyyything at all for it besides put its cage in sunlite with a regular litebulb, let it out in my backyard and feed it, nd let it walk around my house all day after it pood...........all this temperature shit is bull, if your not retarded youl relise what the right temp is,and so will your beardy........lol.........

  • besides crickets, what else are good for them and whats bad? I know fireflys are fatal to them

  • I have a 75 gallon hex tank. I was wondering if that would be good enough to house 2 bearded dragons in?

  • @Draven6679 depends on the ground space. I'm unsure of the ground space on that shape/size tank.

  • is a 40 gallon tank ok for a full grown bearded dragon

  • hey im about to purchase a bearded dragon within a week, a baby one. and i was qwondering what i should start out with before i get my 50 gallon? thank you

  • Thanks for replying to my questions about my new beardies... I managed to set it up and get the info I needed without your reply.

  • the thing is i want one of these, but im not really a fan of bringing insects in to my apartment. would set speacializes protein foods bought at the pet store work aswell?

  • 300 good or more for great results

  • How much does it usually cost to keep a bearded dragon really happy, healthy, and comfortable

  • @csm4204308 couple hundred

  • I haven't gotten a red-light yet, but ima buy one as fast as I get money :3 and I'm really happy, cuz today, my beardie, "changes skin" or what ever it's called, and I'm happy about that, cuz it means that she/he is healthy :)

  • I woke up this morning to my bearded dragon pooping off her hammock, every time the poop stopped it would fart and then more poop. It was gross

  • Hey I have a question, i just got a beardie yesterday morning hes doing great infact very nice and easy hes also a baby. I just have a very important question and i really would like a answer :) My dad agreed to let me keep one but he will not let me keep crickets or any living bug inside or anywere near the house. I feed it beardie pellets and some vegetables that it is supposed to eat but i'm concerened it dosent have crickects at a baby stage will it die? please right back :) -zack

  • @GodsOfPigs young dragons need a majority of their diet to be insects. he will not survive on just pellets and veggies. once he is an old dragon, over a couple years, then pellets and veggies will probably be fine, with insects even just once a month(although I feed my adults insects more often than that)... but babies need insects daily...

  • @earthling1984 Thanks for the answer and my dad and i buy him crickets basicly every time he runs out and hes doing great now :)

  • I have a bearded dragon is it safe to get another one in the same cage or will they fight???

  • @sean8472 depends how big the cage is, and also just depends on the two dragons. usually two will do fine in the same cage, as long as the cage is large enough.

  • @sean8472 Make sure if you do, the two beardies are similar in size and make sure they are not both males or else they will fight.

  • Thanks

  • Could I get a 45 gallon long tub, cut the sides out an put plexi glass with screen lid and a 125 or 75 whaat bulb with UVB for housing

  • @Sardenz303 probably would be fine

  • @Sardenz303 Make sure if you use silicon glue on the glass is uvb protected......

  • Dude freezed dryed insects have no nutrion vaule all it is,is shell

  • Where do you order your crickets from?

  • how do u tame a bearded dragon?...just chill with it? not trying to train it just tame him

  • @titsonanigga yup, just get him/her outa the cage and hang out sometimes. the more time you put into your pet, the more it will get to know and trust you.

  • Where do you get one of those heat thing?

  • could you use shredded newspaper as substrate?

  • @cabelasportsmen shreded paper would be bad as it would probably be eaten along with crickets or other food that is moving through the paper. Flat full pieces of newspaper would probably be just fine, or flat paper towel.

  • @earthling1984 k thanx thats what im using. mine was acting really aggressive and the guy at the store told me its probably because im using newspaper and not sand but ive also heard that sand is bad too. Didnt make sense to me, but thaks for the advice:)

  • @earthling1984 any tips on taming him?

  • dude great vid, thanks. im about to get a bearded dragon in the next couple days... Cheers !

  • arent u worried bout thm falling off, i hold mine like a baby. they are also a pain to get off when they climb onto your back .lol

  • @IamMeUareYou not at all, their claws are pretty clingy

  • wait so i can keep a 40 gallon tank for 1 dragon forever

  • @FXoReflex would probably be ok, but 55gal would be better

  • Here is what the Female is Pink phase hypo 66% possible het trans. And the male Hypo leatherback male 100% het trans. Are these top breeds? And they are sub adults, how much are they worth? And will the offspring be nice beardies? I just dont understand the different types and dont know which are the best.

  • Awesome video... I just bought two bearded dragons and I am really confused on the types. Could I send you some pics and the types they are and could you kindly tell me if they are a good breed?

  • how often should i feed mine?

  • @FerrariFreak24 twice lettuce in the morning and crickets in the mid after noon

  • I already know my stuff on beardies but i think your doing a great job for your pair.....BTW you look like Chad kroeger from nickleback. lol

  • thanks for the info! youtube has taught me soooo much!

  • @rowshambow :) no problem

  • How many crickets in a day do you feed one of them?

  • @TheChaosLordJoe u'll learn how many, start with like 10 a day per dragon, lower or higher based on how they are growing.

  • where u saying 100 a week for both of em or just one?

  • im realy not trying to be a dick... but you kinda look like david spade. nice beardies though, they look healthy

  • Can you catch crickets outside and feed them to the breaded dragon?

  • @GageLongBoarding best not to feed outdoor insects; you never know what diease or chemicals they may have.

  • Thanks Earthling1984 I'm a big fan of your page and I watch all your videos and this will help me:)

  • @FerrariFreak24 awesome! thanks for the kind comment! glad you enjoy my vids!

  • @earthling1984 and to be honest...i only watch ur videos if i want to get a certain pet and i think ur awesome and im not just saying that to be nice :)

  • @FerrariFreak24 thanks :)

  • No for a bearded dragon

  • Is it alright to not use UVB bulbs if I use calcium ever feeding

  • @Live2wrestle18 no, that is not ok, ur turtle will live a painful life that is shortened by decades.

  • will your bearded dragons fight if there in the same cage

  • @mygeckoleo his probably dont since they're male and female.

  • @mygeckoleo nope, they never have.

  • Do you have to clip their claws?

  • how can you avoid mucus in the eyes nostril and the mouth?

  • heyy i have one but he/she is really sick and i dont know what to do can you help me but he/she is only a week onld

  • @mickayla1289 I would guess your tank isn't setup properly. Could you describe your tank specs, including temperature and humidity for me.

  • Comment removed

  • i was told if you dont care for your dragon right that you could stunt them...now im looking at one to buy and am told she is 4 years old and around 10" long with im thinking is stunted...now if i bring her home and care for her properly will she start to grow again or is the damage already done?

  • What size enclosure would be best for only one full grown bearded dragon?

  • how often do you clean their enclosure?

  • @rssuper88 once a week

  • Nice lizards, I was wondering if there is a way to tell what gender they are when they are babys? Also it seems to me that the females are a little smaller, is this true? Finaly, I was wondering if a female would be ok to keep without a partner? I am looking at only getting one lizard, so are beardies a good type to get? Please reply ASAP. thanks

  • @rssuper88 one is fine, google search for 'sexing bearded dragons' you should find some pics. Females usually are smaller, but it also depends on if they live alone or with another more dominant beardie.

  • @earthling1984 thanks, helped a lot.

  • should you handle a juvenile Bearded Dragon?

  • @bornonice87 Yes! Most definatly!!! :) That way they become used to you..! :)

However dont keep them out of the heat for too too long :)

  • where do you think i can buy a repti sun online

  • @Bearded12Dragon yep! thats where I bought mine.. are you in Canada?

if so, google, finsandmorethings .. Thats where I ordered mine :)

  • @MsCivvy Thank you and yes i live in canada

  • great video.... Mine wouldnt eat the pellets, however have you ever tried "beardie bites?" They can basically replace veggies! :)

a cpl points i just wunna mention to you.

RED light, should not be used, its bad for their eyes.

You do not need a heat source if it doesnt drop below 65 degrees at night.

if it does drop below 65 degrees, you can buy a ceramic heat emitter (from ebay, for cheap!)

and you never mentioned substrate, AVOID SAND. great ones are TILE (trims nails) papertowl or newspaper

  • Can you put a male with a male with a female in a vivarium?

  • @Aaron19981 no.. males can become aggressive, and thats how tail nips, and finger/toe loss happens/ (also keeping babies together for too long causes that as well)

females can be housed together, usually works out better if they have been together from the time they were young. may be harder to introduce them when they are older.

  • Oh and would a fish aquarium be alright for it

  • @Bearded12Dragon yes, that is fine, just know a 20gallon is small for a dragon, an adult will need a 40gallon or larger.

  • Would it be fine if I used a 10.0 ReptiGlo for my bearded dragon and is a 20 gallon good for a baby bearded dragon I'm getting one next month

    SO EXCITED

  • @Bearded12Dragon that would be fine, the 10.0 bulb, but those don't give off much heat(not enough for a dragon) so you will need a separate heat lamp/light to get your hot spot to the proper temperature.

  • @Bearded12Dragon I wouldnt recommend "reptiglo" they have very bad ratings, and do not give off enough UvB..nor should you use a "coil bulb" for UVB... I would reccomend REPTISUN.. :)

  • btw i have 2 females thats are very healthy in a 55 gal tank

  • keep this in mind if you own a beardie, tank size is very important as well as food and water supplimentented from veggies....but other than that they are simple lizards

  • @Widwo1324 depends what type of beardie you have for pygmy's you need about a 35 gallon breeder all around wood (front is glass) to keep the heat in for centrals and eastern about a 42 gallon breeder.

You can get a temporary cage that would be a 15 gallon tank.

  • How big should I get a tank for a baby beardie ?

  • @Widwo1324 mine as well get the tank size he will need as an adult - 40gallon.

  • would it be ok to get 2 female sub-adults and put them in a vivexotic VX48 vivarium? Because as you know, my 4 month guy got put down 4 days ago or so, and planning to go further. And how many huge-mother-fucking-big locusts should i geed them a week? i loved the locusts more, slower, nicer, etc.

  • i just got my 7 hours ago should i hold it tommorw

  • How much money are the cages and all the supplies?can you make a video of them? If you can that will be great!!!

  • @GameThrowDown just be careful they don't get away from you

  • So I've been wanting a water dragon but everyone keeps telling me I should look into getting these..... any words on that?

  • @xbleedingfetusx I've never owned a water dragon myself, but I've heard they can be great pets too. I do love bearded dragons myself, but again, I can't really compare as I have never owned a water dragon.

  • i got my 3 days ago and he acts like he doesnt like me. what should i do?

  • @lexilangford12 Give it time? He doesnt know you... :P

  • @lexilangford12 just keep handling and over time he will get used to you.

  • Hay, how many crickets a day?

how many bellets in the salad?

  • IMPORTANT. i dont know what i should feed my beardie. i want to introduce him to vegetables as a baby but i also will give him crickets. are there any crickets that can be bought online or are there only pellets?

  • im probably getting two bearded dragons from a pet store will thy deffenatly mate if i get a boy and a girl i could i tell the gender when they are babys and they will be housed together

  • people they to clean once a mouth

  • Fabulous and very accurate video! Most uploaders have inaccurate information. You really know your stuff. (:

  • @CyanideDespair thanks much :)

  • awesome video man is a boy better or a girl

  • @TheMusicalTurkey thanks :) either is equal.

  • DO THEY SMELL

  • @swatrylan2 Any animal smells if the habitat isn't kept up properly. If you clean as you should (once a day), they don't smell.

  • i live in puerto rico and i want one but its kinda not so warm so should i really have about 2 lights right

  • Why does my bearded dragon dig and berrow. It is a male . I am not sure if he is cold becuase I have a 150 day light, a UVB light, and for nights I have a heat lamp. Day temp on the hot side is 100 and nights about 88. He eats a little bit but not much this started when he started to shed about 2 days ago. What could be wrong? Is this normal?

  • how much will it cost for me to get the dragon the cage the food the heaters the lights and that stuff

  • im not sure if i want a male or female... mostly my pets were female cuz they were easier too look after (cats) but on lizards since its gonna be my first one wich one shall i get male or female?

  • @G4dg3tTV either is fine, they act about the same.

  • @earthling1984 i might go for male... they are bigger lol

  • hey, i was thinking of getting one, would two be better? would one be more interactive with me or would two have the same amount of interaction. one or two?

  • @daness621 one is good

  • @earthling1984 1 question, i bought a bearded dragon like 1 month ago, at first she was nervous and i thought she needed a friend, ok now i bought an otherone but its like a baby the first 1 is crystal and the second one is fireball, but something is wierd crystal is alot happier but the fireball is trying to run away from crystal thats what i belive how do i teach fire ball not to be scared of crystal? oh and crystal has a long tail she is growing. plz tell me how to tame the little one.

  • @earthling1984 thnx

  • do you use a screen top or no top are they OK with no top?

  • @xxxlowerthenlowxxx screen top

  • i have another question fro you. I was wondering what else I can do to try to get my Beardies to eat fruits and veggies. I give them 1 fruit or veggie per day chopped up in their dish with mealworms. but they eat the mealworms and dont even touch the fruit or veggie. ive tried many diffrent fruits and veggies, but they still dont eat em. i've hand fed them as well, which sometimes works, but not always. even the vibratig dish doesnt work :( so if you had any tips, i'd love to hear them thanx

  • Yes u can put crickets in the cage. Just buy some and put the crickets in.
