Am i the only person who preferred Secret Rings? that game was also iffy, but at least it had OBSTACLES other than endless waves of enemies. I actually didn't have a problem with the first game's controls, i thought they were interesting and made a bland-ish game seem more intersting. I don't think a good story, stylized graphics, and FINALLY good voice acting make up for the mindless gameplay of Black Knight

I thought Black Knight was okay, although I think you are giving the controls a tad too much praise. While they did work fine for Sonic(for the most part), the other charcters controls felt laggy, almost to the point of being completely unresponsive.

Compared to BK, SR is a near-perfect game. SR has varied and intricate level design, an incredible sense of speed, and arcade-style gameplay built around twitch reflexes and memorization that provides a wholly unique sense of satisfaction when you string together a series of combos across breathtaking vistas. BK is a slow and clunky brawler game, with wave after wave of repetitive enemies being dispatched through waggle. There's no design. It lasts about an hour and has no depth at all.

I liked this game had some good visuals although I felt attacking with the sword got in the way of the speed a lot, and the other styles where it doesn't are kinda slow. I guess what would of made this game better for me would of been having the customization similar to in Secret Rings, so you can change it almost exactly how you want.

My opinion is the complete opposite : I was waiting so much from this game (Sonic Fan), Secret Rings was good, long, and playable, I bought Black Knight for 60€ : I was dumbass...

Incredibly short (~4 hours), unresponsive controls(sometimes, 1 shaking = 2 hits), cheesy voice acting, a great load of collectables, but on the flip side are completely useless, stupid use of online, shitty multiplayer mode, the idiotic use of followers(do and redo the same level, does not make it interesting!)etc.
