  • Chills

  • RIP Robb and Catelynn

  • @chungeezy1 SPOILER MUCH!!!

  • I am a Reyne and i find this offensive.

  • definitely not what I had imagined in my mind...this is almost happy sounding

  • @wainblatrobert it IS supposed to be happy, because it's the a minstrel's song about a monumental victory. Do you think someone would risk the anger of Tywin making it sound sinester?

  • @RolTickler I imagine it to be a forewarning song to remind everyone what happens to those who betray their liege so something written in a minor key with more ominous orchestration

  • @RolTickler Yes i'm with you. The fact that it's song that way makes it even more . . . creepy. It's almost like an inappropriate jape.

  • Great song man, but could you try to do a medieval version of that, it would sound awesome.

  • so did you write the second part of the song yourself? awesome job dude!!!

  • I always felt that the first verse was in the middle of the song, but hey I like this too. Great Job.

  • Fucking EPIC!!!

  • Perfect rendition. Melancholic, bitter, down to earth. Fits Tywin perfectly.

  • It fits his victims perfectly, at least. Lord Tywin is always a reality check for people who think that they are better than they really are.

  • Simply beautiful!

  • because a Lannister always pays his debts.

  • wtf...... this song shoud be WAY more creepy

  • Wonder what would Tywin Lannister think about this song? :P

  • @melianna123 He actually likes it.

  • From Quebec City, Canada.

Our single "The Bear and the Maiden Fair" (celtic rock version) is now available for free! Please share! Lyrics based on GRRM's books.

Just search "The bear and the maiden fair Irish Moutarde" on youtube!

You can download the song for free (mp3) on our website. Just search "Irish Moutarde" on google!

  • Awesome!

  • Good job!

  • Im stil coming back to this song still dont know why

  • This gets better every time I listen to it. That second verse has a very chilling touch to it, just thinking about it makes me hate Tywin that much more.

  • can I download this song?

  • I keep returning to this song dont know why thow sory for my english

  • Love this. Great rendition!

I didn't think Walder Frey had a thing for the theatrical. LOL

  • Sounds kind of like Fairport Convention. I like.

  • Jaime Lannister sends his regards!

  • You could do one for "the last of the giants" and "the dornishman wife"

  • Hey Douglas did you make song about the Donishman s wife olso

  • Epic just Epic great work man

  • Deftly done, my lord.

  • This is awesome. The guys on Game of Thrones should definitely use your idea for when it comes to filming RW.

,,,a scene I just read a few hours ago and I'm still in shock.

  • @TheSIKKS66 I read that chapter 2 days ago and threw the book across the room lol Picked it up an hour later.

  • This song should close out an episode in Season 3. Great job!

  • ¡ Great ! ( From Spain)

  • too happy, i think

  • @ericlk47 I think that depends on who you ask. It was probably "originally" written for Tywin Lannister's ears, so I think it's a good thing that it insn't too dark but still not overly happy ("yaaay, let's go annoy the lord of Casterly Rock :D")

  • i really can't stop listening to this. great job!

  • After finishing ASOS this weekend I'm still totally in shock :O

But this was beautifully done :) The tune fits the Red Wedding and makes me all sad here... xD

  • that's beautiful. thank you.

  • Very nice, great even! thanks for giving me the chills(in a positive way :p) about GRRM's work with this ,ser!

  • Justice will find Lord Walder Frey, too.

    Bloody bastard.

  • @Industrievertreter1 I really hope Walder Frey lives until the end of the series, and dies from some completely insignificant way, like choking on a pube from his tenth wife, nothing to do with the RW. One of the best things about the series is that the good are not always rewarded, the bad not always punished, it's down to circumstance and luck,

That said, in terms of poetic justice, I do want Littlefinger die screaming like a girl at the hands of UnCat.

  • @BlackMoonLilith (spoilers) poetic justice would be walder frey's entire family predeceasing him because everyone hates them after what he ordered at the red wedding (their numbers have already declined significantly since), then him dying of a heart attack trying to create some more heirs with his umpteenth wife. LF being killed by UnCat is too obvious, as would be Sansa betraying him. I do think he'll die but hope he doesn't (he's a ledge while cat brought her end on herself)

  • @DAandFrank What I like about UnCat-kills isn't even the Cat side. It's that Littlefinger is one of the master manipulators of the series, he won't be killed by anything he could plan for, but how could he know the love of his life has come back as a zombie?! I like the idea of a supernatural threat killing him, and UnCat makes more sense than dragons or an Other.

  • @BlackMoonLilith Good one

  • "No stripling boy untried by arms will play Lord over me" is a wonderful verse, I think it ought to be inserted in the "official" song! I can imagine too well how the young but proud Tywin would be inflamed by such a seering remark...

  • heh heh

  • Jaime Lannister sends his regards.

  • Great

  • Jon Snow FTW

  • @Rockyman4071 ADWD Jon remembers me of young Tywin... ruthless.

  • @Lemurius Not "ruthless" Decisive.

  • Very nice rendition!!

  • Catchy ;)

My neck hairs rise when hearing it. However, I really dislike the Lannisters...

  • This is brilliant, is there anyway I can download this somehow?

  • This is amazing.

  • the sigil of house reyne of castamere was a red lion upon a golden background while house lannister's sigil was a golden lion on a crimson field.

  • @hyourin11 House Reyne was a red lion with its head facing backwards with two tails intertwined on a white background.

  • nice version but I think for it to be darker, it needs to have less instruments perhaps a single acoustic guitar would work. Also, no percussion. It's a suppose to be a sad song, not a battle march

  • @LOLinflames I agree, it needs to feel more alone and resolute.

  • @LOLinflames I thought in the book Catelyn described the pounding drums in the song.

  • @ajbahus yes....but did you also miss the part where she says that the Frey's rendition of the song is a complete butchery or mockery? She barely recognized what they were playing cuz it was so bad lol

  • @LOLinflames Ha yeah. I did like the part at the end of the chapter where they stop playing save for the pounding drums. It definitely builds up the suspense when "you know what" happens (don't want to spoil it for the people who haven't read it yet.)

  • I appreciate your making this song, but I think it needs to have a much darker melody..and a stronger voice to sing it.

  • you are truly a skilled musician/composer. bravo!

  • 10 Stark bannermen disliked this song.

  • @ZachValkyrie Plus Catelyn of course and Robb

  • @ZachValkyrie The Castameres would've disliked it too but they're all dead now.

  • we need a Freypie song.

  • Lady olenna tyrell is not amused.

  • If season 3 brings us seven versions of The Rains of Castamere for Joff's wedding, sign up.

  • This is beautiful! with your permission I'd like to record a dru cover of this song someday =) (Obviously you will have all of the credits ;D )

  • Surely Douglas is Tom'o'seven strings incarnate?

  • Absolutely fantastic job, this is incredible and deserves to be shared with all ASOIAF fans

  • That's awesome...it so reminds me the Red Wedding!

  • Your work is amazin Douglas Harrison!

Thank you, you gained a new sub

  • where do whores go?

  • Do you remember how all of us hated the Lannisters (except Tyrion) in the first book? Martin is genius

  • Fucking brilliant, thanks! x

  • I want the sequel: The Shits of Kingslanding

  • My lord lannister would you like me to sing yo ua song about your father victory at castamere?

-There is nothing more that would ruin my supper

  • I'm going to pay the singers at my ex's wedding to sing this.

  • @birdcagemind I'd go with The Dornishman's wife lol if not just for the ending ;)

  • @birdcagemind They will play terribly and then pull out crossbows to shoot all the people?

  • @birdcagemind You and me both XD.

  • "You cannot eat love, nor buy a horse with it, nor warm your halls on a cold night."

"Explain to me why it is more noble to kill ten thousand men in battle than a dozen at dinner."

"Mummers and monkeys require applause. So did Aerys, for that matter" - Tywin Lannister

"Even from The Grave, Lord Tywin's Dead Hand Move us All"

    -Jamie Lannister The Kingslayer

"Even in his dying, He found a way to shit on Me"

    -Tyrion Lannister the Kinslayer

Hail Lord Tywin Lannister, The Real Lion of Lannister

  • @Tarebogie No, fuck him!

  • @Tarebogie

    Useless quote -> insert

  • "wherever whores go"

  • I just love it. Great job!

  • This song is really cool; it inspired me to write some more verses.

  • @HelotOnWheels Awesome, man. Yours is actually better than this one! Please sing it!

  • The proud lord called his banners, ready on the morn to fight.

The Lannisters marched through the dark, to fall on him at night.

His hall aflame, his vassals slain, the last lord of the Reynes

Was brought before Lord Lannister, defeated and in chains.

  • @HelotOnWheels Very nice :)

  • “And who are you,” Lord Tywin said, “to hold your head so high?”

And test your feeble claws and teeth on such a foe as I?

Your mane is shorn, your cubs devoured, your pride is come to nought.

Behold, the bloody purchase that your vanity has bought.”

  • “Mock me not,” Reyne answered, “I have no more life left to save.

“Send me to join my murdered sons again beyond the grave.”

Lord Tywin gave the wretched man the death for which he prayed.

He washed Lord Reyne’s blood from his hands and said, “My debt is paid.”

  • Lord Tywin would not grant his men their claims to Castamere.

“No rebel e’er again shall bid defiance to me here.

“Let rats and stoats rule Castamere. The raven and the owl

“Shall nest above the hall where crimson lions used to prowl.”

A Lannister always pays his debts...

  • This is fucking phenomenal. Downright Lannisterian.

  • Um Lannister sempre paga suas dívidas.

  • Beauty...

  • The drum and guitar solos are extremely haunting. I can totally imagine the Red Wedding happening at that point.

  • Where did you find the last image of the crow in the tree?

  • Comment removed

  • as much as the Lannisters are a power-hungry house, you really have to respect how they've managed to come so far and still maintain their power.

  • *haunting.

  • Nice job. Very hauntig

  • very nice ^^ .. I wanna learn how to play and record too

  • It's cool

  • it should be darker to suit the red wedding

  • @jackalackb17 So the song should be darker to suit a event that took place decades after its creation?

  • @StateOfAolbainia im not saying its bad... im just saying its not how i imagined it... it doesnt suit the figure of lord tywin iv got in my head... would you be happier if i rephrased it as " if you did a version for the red wedding it should be darker"

  • It would be really sweet if they incorporated this song into the HBO series (minus the electric guitar).

  • The North is dark and full of terrors...

  • Lord Baelish/the spider r the two real players of the game of thrones

  • I think you did a good job. But the song is suppose to convey fear and dread. I think this version is too happy/ jolly

  • @saro87 you bet Tywin Lannister sings this while he is in the privy XD

  • troll sucess lawl

  • @Jadepokonia Hahaha well played... I often troll for kicks also. Wanna be my bannerman?

  • Don't read on, there seem to be some major spoilers below!

  • rolling at the floor and laughing... how stupid ppl can be omfg

  • @Jadepokonia I agree entirely, who would ever roll /at/ the floor? Silly sausages indeed!

  • @Jadepokonia The acronym ROFL stands for "rolling on the floor and laughing". Welcome to the year 2011.

  • My favourite part 0:29 to 0:46

  • Is there anywhere we can download an mp3 of this?

  • Beautiful. I can replay the whole red wedding and very much hear this in the background. Brought tears to my eyes

  • woah... very good interpretation of one of my favorite songs from ASOIAF... thanks for giving it a music!

  • Tywin was the most EPIC character in the Song of Ice and Fire.

  • Comment removed

  • @drdoomdaniel I dunno... his son wasn't half bad either...

    (sorry for the pun)

  • @BlueStrikeP HALFMAN! HALFMAN!

  • @drdoomdaniel But he did not in fact shit gold.

  • I'm just imagining the red wedding here...

  • @Malk007 nah, for that we'd need more... "musicians"

  • Beutifull. I loved it. Just listen this song and you know why you shouldn't defy lord Tywin Lannister. Next time i read A Song of Ice and Fire book, i'll use this music as soundtrack.

George Martin would be proud, i'm shure. Congratulations!

  • This song is beyond awesome!

  • This song is always so chillingly epic when I read it in the books. I can't wait to hear HBO's version, though your extra lyrics fit perfectly!

  • Amazing interpretation!

  • That was great! I love how this song was used in the books. This is a very good and creative rendition of it.

  • Winter is coming..

  • absolutely love your voice and your folk style :) i really think you should cover the other songs that appear in the book. this is great :)

  • Pretty cool!

  • That was a brilliant homage, ser Douglas Harrison.

Keep up the excellent work. :)

  • "The wolves will come again."

    -Jojen Reed

  • A Lannister always pays his debts.

  • @zrozendaal maybe but Lannisters also seem to be allergic to crossbow bolts...

  • The Young wolf will be avenged, the North remembers.

  • @imlarion naah the north seems to be quite forgetfull so far in the books...

  • @Atreas40000 tell that to the Freys in Manderly's pie. ;)

  • @lucaschallenger I prefer what Manderly said in Winterfell about Little Walder : Though mayhaps this is a blessing. Had he lived he would have grown up to be a Frey :)

  • The North is going to rise again.

  • @MrSkinnyBuh i really hope to see all the heroes end up at the wall to face the white walkers in another "age of heroes" as the book called it. the one who binds them all together in this cause will reign supreme.

  • @drocto21 I like that thought... Azor Ahai reborn (Jon Snow) and his sister dany and tyrion all on dragons.. pwning white walkers.

  • @MrSkinnyBuh Well, Jon MIGHT have a bit of trouble with that, if you read A Dance With Dragons

  • @jurnag12 I don't think we've heard the last of the bastard... being that he's the only male protagonist left.

  • @MrSkinnyBuh Protagnoist ? in this novel ? are you joking?

  • @Jadepokonia ??? Are we not meant to think of Jon as a protagonist? There can be more than one you know.

  • @MrSkinnyBuh coz of his decisions plenty of free mans died. Childrens and womans too so yeh i think jon is not a protagonist.

  • @Jadepokonia I think you need to get a better grasp on the English language, and then tell me what a protagonist really is.

  • @MrSkinnyBuh even Martin said that in SoIaF there is not white or black characters... just rolling how you can know better than Martin

  • @Jadepokonia rolling huh? did you use an online translator to make this comment perhaps?

  • @MrSkinnyBuh rolling......what the fuck is that guy talking about?

  • @drocto21 HAHA I've been trying to figure that out.
