  • I got my viper up to 1035bhp, with a oil change ( it's was like 968bhp before)

  • my bugatti veyron has 1270 PK lol

  • what kind of trick is clicking a button

  • @iceman7555 if you listen, at about .36 seconds he clearly says TIP

  • ive put 220+ miles on my ferrari Italia and will it still add hp when i change

  • Brilliant American Accent mate, Thanks for the upload. :-)

  • Comment removed

  • thanks this really helps.(im not being sarcastic either it really helped me)

  • if you keep driving it without changing the oil will it decrease the horsepower

  • MR MACKEY !?!?!

  • Nice

  • lame.. it's not a trick! it just a part of the game.. same goes with overhaul and buying a new car vs an old car.. the more you drive it the more power you loose. I think you should change oil every 200 km or the HP drops back again.. cant remmeber all the stats, I think 5%..

  • I got Gran Turismo 5 Prologue.

What is the difference between that game, and the ordinary Gran Turismo 5?

I can see that this game is not the same as mine.. :-S

  • @Beatbox0 prolouge is like a demo gt5 has other a thousand cars more tracks ans seasonal updates so there are more races and more offline challanges

  • @zjackshot Ok, thanks... maybe I should've known that BEFORE I bought it xD

    Dang!!! :-P

  • if you ever played gran turismo on playstation 2, you would already know this!!!

  • Does it matter if you change the oil before you race it, or can you change the horsepower a few races after buying it and still attain the same HP gain? I worry on some cars that I drove them before changing their oil.

  • @Wodey25 nah don't worry about it, doing an oil change after u buy a car is the same as driving it to break in the engine and give that bit extra BHP. so it really doesn't make a difference if u drive a car before doing an oil change

  • @COWZGaming how many cars do you have

  • lancer EX turbo 83 can be tuned into a monster. nice little sleeper.

  • WTF WAS THE TRICK?

    THATS A REGULAR THING

  • @Fruna123 roflmao!! I KNEW IT! xD

  • so does the hp drop back down over time as the oil deteriates.

  • nothing new

  • 0:40 fastest car in gran turismo xD xD

  • That's nothing new! At least since GT3 (since I've been playing GT) it was and is possible to increase a car's engine power by chaning the oil, even with a brand new car! That's because a new car uses some kind of standard oil while the GT Garage offers/uses special racing oil.

  • @JediMeister1972 well this is the first GT I have really been able to play, besides GT5P, so I posted this when it first game out so I thought it was a trick and didn't know it had been around for a while.

  • @JediMeister1972 its true they tell you what the oil does

  • washing your car just stops scratching retards how would a bit of dust affect aeros in a game?/

  • 2:40 sounds like Mr. Mackey from south park lol

  • This is not a "glitch"; as dhuyd said, oil changes restore horsepower lost to friction (due to thermal breakdown of the oil and dirt/metal particles in the oil). Actual cars used to need (before CNC machining) a "wear-in" (or "break-in") period of frequent changes of all lubricants for the first 1500 miles or so. Some factory-recommended regimens included driving below a certain RPM or road speed for the first 250-500 miles. These regimens help(ed) the vehicles to achieve peak performance...

  • @abortivus yea, we posted this video before we realized that doing this when you first get a car, so yea thank you for the detailed explanation :)

  • @COWZGaming I know right.....His detailed explination sounded like a "Castrol Oil" commercial. Also if you want another cool tip that you may not be aware of, go to a-spec level 22 race. It's the middle race, left hand side.(European Championship I believe) The first race is The Rome track. Race that. It's only a 5 lap race but it's worth $99,000. takes only about 5 minutes but a very easy way to build up cash.

I thought you might appriciate the tip.

  • I'm with COWZgameing POWER!!!!!!!!

  • is this GT5 or prologue?

  • @mattert77 GT5

  • lol 250 moneys

  • Lol, this game is to easy to get cash on sometimes, and once you hit like 24 it's kinda boring part from tearing it up with the FGT or a F10 etc.

  • this oil trick has been around since the first GT

  • you wasted money its more affective if the oil has been used

  • @pacdude11 its 250Cr, i have over 5,000,000Cr, so its hardly anything, unless you have no Cr.....

  • just to comment on b spec, you dont have to have a better car by a mile to win, picking the correct driver and keeping him cool helps alot, only telling him to overtake when it wont affect him in the next corner, i raced similar cars and still win, its a case of picking the right car, the right driver and the right commands.

  • @stuartcanon yea that is true, but plan b is always super overpowered car! lol

  • @COWZGaming when u sell the car with the extra power is it do u get more money or just the same amount as u would if you had not changed the oil.?

  • @B789c nah its the same

  • um yeah regardless you should change the oil in all your cars regugarly

  • What modification should i do first to a new car? In other words, which mod is the best for the money?

  • @punjabi91695 hello a fellow punjab! but the best thing for me is a racing air filter, headers, ecu tuning, and maybe a sport exhaust, and that can give anywhere from 50-175 extra bhp, and of course and oil change!

  • @COWZGaming Thanks for the advice. By the way, do you have any tips on how to dominate in B-spec mode? All of the AI drivers are shit no matter how good of a car you give them lol

  • @punjabi91695 no prob, but in b-spec you really need to give him a car that will dominate, so if i'm going up against 450bhp german saloons, i'll need my 670bhp Nissan 300ZX, and with that i can just leave him there and he'll win. so you really need to have 200bhp more than everyone else, and just tell him to overtake till he's in first, then tell him to maintain pace

  • @COWZGaming Sounds legit thanks for the advice

  • @punjabi91695 i gave mine a my 700hp car and he is winning

  • @MyStPYR0 So i gave my guy a 650hp gallardo and he is kicking ass lol thanks for the advice

  • how did you afford all the cars

  • @delpen199 go look at my tips and tricks credits 2

  • how did u get all those cars?

  • me and my dad bought a WRX and we got the BHP from 297-576 and our top speed is 161 we got heaps of money from special

  • does this affect the retail price? btw does anyone know why the Dome Zero concept car cant be sold for any credits?

  • again.. oil change isnt a trick it's just a maintenance option u get same as body refreshing and enginge review

  • How do u get the stealth model cars?

  • @BBbuddy1234 you had to pre-order it or buy signature edition

  • 1159 bugatti to 1217, it never was 1217 ever

  • Is hp lost by driving online? Is hp degredation not affected online?

  • @AntDX316 well if u mean one race, then no. but over a long period of time, say driving really hard for like 500mi online, then yes u may see some hp degradation, but just do an oil change and it'll go back up

  • So does that mean that your car will lose hp after driving it so much?

  • @thrasher1983 yea every 150ish miles it loses hp but you can get it back from doing another oil change

  • I think washing your car adds hp as well.

  • @cantryss That would be very weird..it but reality it improves the aerodynamica,so your car get's just a little bit faster, and i think it only works with sportscars. Anyways,im not sure about my thought..

  • @cantryss turning on and off your ps3 3 times with a lady gaga blue ray disc on it will adds hp as well

  • @cantryss

    That would be nice lol.

  • @cantryss AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!eSFGBNKML????????????????/BN MJHGDGHF

washing you car improves aerodynamics because dirt on the paint causes air resistance. but you wont even notice as much

  • @cantryss reduces aerodynamic drag =p

  • It's not a glitch. Changing the oil is supposed to regenerate the horsepower lost by normal wear and tear.

  • @dhuyd thanks didn't know that

  • @dhuyd he means on a new, not used car. notice the color of the "oil" doesn't change. this started in gt2 or 3 i believe. nice to see it holds true still.

  • @dhuyd He didn't say its a glitch, Its a tip/trick ;)

  • @dhuyd But it also works for new cars with 0.0 miles on the clock
