Im am sorry if I have ruined your viewing (and listening experience). But check the other video from the Nürburgring on this channel. It doesn't have the music playing. Or search for "Two GT3:s on Nürburgring chased by a Corvette C5 Z06". That is from this year and it is a much faster lap. More than a 1 minute faster actually.

If i would be Sabine i would not sit so relaxed in the seat.. the vette driver just give's 100% or nothing.. PERHAPS he doesn't look as far as he should troughout a corner or doesn't no the ring out his head jet.

Well, she was supposed to drive the car, but we ran out of time. I'm hoping that she can drive my car next year, with me in the passenger seat. I really want to see what lap times can be accomplished with a pro driver.

@rafa281 This is relative. The Z06 is actually an incredibly fast car, outpacing even some fairly top-end Porsches. A relaxed lap in a Z06 is better than most performance cars can hope for.

@7j8i9m I guess this must be the same case with the record set by the ZOnda R, I feel like that car could go a lot faster than it did, as for this video here, looking at it a second time I believe that the bad quality of it and the amazing sound of the Vette make it look like he's driving a lot faster than he actually is.

She didn't ask me to wear one.

Helmet is usually not mandatory on normal "Touristenfahrt" days. This was a trackday event arranged by RMA Trackdays (UK). And on those events, the helmet is mandatory. I always wear a helmet when I drive on the track, though. On the Nürburgring I reach speeds of about 270 km/h with my car, so it feels a bit safer with than without.

Whe Sabine drives the Ring Taxi, she doesn't wear a helmet.

Stiffer composite racing springs and Bilstein Sports. Much stiffer sway bars. Cold air intake, bigger throttle body (LS2), FAST 92 mm intake, SuperMaxx headers, Moroso racing exhaust. Brembo 6-pot 380 mm front, 4-pot 355 mm rear brakes.

I actually made the lap 45 seconds quicker without Sabine in the car, but it's difficult to take instructions when you drive on the edge... 8 min 09 secs BTG
