  • Man you're charging capacitors and using a device that surges HUGE wattage hooked to a 300 watt inverter? No wonder they are catching fire. You should be using a 2,500watt/5000watt inverter that can handle the instant draw you are pulling from the inverter. Best of wishes.

  • So is it Crappy or too small for the job? What is wattage rating on those lights? You can't put an elephant in a wheel barrow!

  • The reason I went for this size of inverter was due to the fact that Alien Bees/Paul C. Buff sells a package that includes smaller inverters.

The new model's specs are identical to the older model, which performs fine with two of these strobes. I expected to get the new, smaller unit with the same performance.

  • I saw this inverter on google products thanks for steering me clear of it - looks like xantrex / sunforce are better

  • We have used several 300 watt AIMS inverters and found that the strobe lights have a high surge. We upgraded to the 600 watt and they work much better
