  • Excellent summary. Great stuff - well done!

  • steve mcqueen at 0.48 haha i love him but i read about this scene where he doesnt want to be upstaged by Brynner.i thoughtd be iconic..but he looks desperate haha!

  • One of the greatest casts ever put together!!!!!

  • @1949man 1:50 Robert Wilkie usually played villians but not in spartacus and was a semi professional golf player

  • Ótimo! Parabéns!

  • Yul Brynner was one of the greatest actors around back in the day. He could play anything and still look cool just walking.

  • just watched it today and it is one of the best westerns out there without john wayne

  • Elmer Bernstein rules!!!!!!!

  • best piece of music I've ever heard.

  • Hey' it's the Gunslinger from Westworld!

  • VERY well done tribute "Austin". Thank you mucho. Excellent timing and concept on your part. I sent it to my best buds under the title "Absolute Perfection". They LOVED it. Again, thanks..."The old man was right...."

  • Yes I have to agree , one great western, the best yet

  • What if seven gun totin' gringos rode into Mexico today?Could they clean out the criminals

and save Mexico just like Yul and his pals did?Well, one can dream.

  • @northernoir They would undoubtedly need more than lever-actions and single action pistols.

  • The very definition of cool!!

  • You gotta admit, Yul Brynner's death is a tragedy, but this movie would not be the same without the light of a match off the boot, the slow puff of the slim cigar, and the look of the American West all captured in a moment. Clint Eastwood had the right idea, he only smoked for movies.

  • An excellent cast, thoroughly entertaining, filled with some of the corniest dialogue and scenes

    I've ever witnessed.Great!

  • Lousy remake.

  • @zapperz2 nothing beats kurosawa

  • I can hear Yul now as he died . . . . .

    I TELL YOU - DON'T SMOKE! JUST DOOON'T SMOKE!

  • I'm still in love with all of these guys--except Eli. No wonder I'm so picky. Thank goodness for Digital... I went to the local theater and fell in love ...

  • Best of the best!

  • The beautiful Mexican girl - actress Rosenda Monteros -- is still alive and making movies. But of the seven only Robert Vaughn survives along with the excellent villian Eli Wallach. Along with maybe The Dirty Dozen & It's Mad, Mad, Mad World -- this is the greatest all-star cast ever assembled. The majority became major or marginally successful stars. Because there were no sappy songs in the film just a great instrumental -- the film seems to have not aged at all.

  • gr8 film pity they r all dead all except Vaughn and Eli the villian who is now about 124

  • @staypress Eli Wallach is around 94-97 i think.

  • Once upon a time in the West may have grandeur, The Searchers may have deep characters and themes, but neither are as fun as this masterpiece.

  • they don't make em like this anymore, hollywood that is. although it's a ripp off of kuwasawa, the expendables comes close.

  • @54taqiyya It may be a ripofff----BUT it's a GOOD one...

  • @1949man oh yeah! no doubt! i shouldn't have used "rip-off", "based on" might have been better.

  • Yes I share your opinion. When I was young I used to try imitate Steve Mcqueen who is my favourite actor.

  • i love this movie and just realized it's a western remake of seven samurai,

  • esta pelicula fue hecha en tepoztlan mexico, que recuerdos,

  • bravo ! c'est super !

    belle video, on en redemande

  • bravo ! c'est super !

  • I was 12 y.o. when I first saw this movie. I was so impressed I stayed to watch it twice. Even at that tender age, I instantly recognized the story as one of redemption. Most of the characters were looking for the one thing really good thing they could do to make up for a lot of wrong they had been involved with. The reason I connect so much with this movie is I have known four people who are as fearless as these seven. Thankyou for uploading both music and movie splices.

  • Kinda funny how I stopped watching tv, try to be more active not just stay inside, yet Im on youtube looking for movies like this instead. Great Movie

  • все русские эмигранты или с русскими корнями вот вам и звездЫ! Голливуд!

  • @chapaay Yes. You are right. There are many Hollywood actors with Russian roots. I can think of Natalie Wood, Efram Zimbalist Jr. (his father was a great great violinist), Kirk Douglas and of course the man here, Yul Brynner. That is what makes America great - so many people came from other countries. Of course Russia is great also. :)

  • @chapaay

    Indeed!

    :-)

  • Malboro jajajaja

  • Terrible movie with terrific actors and magnificentusic!

  • LET'S RIDE TO WASHINGTON D.C.!

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR I knew there was something wrong with this country when people thought it was a bad thing to be a cowboy...

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR no way high plains drifter takes the cake there

  • @ERROLCUSTERFLYNN4EVR You should do that get a posse together Ill join it. We can Ride through each State of the Union as we ride we get other people to join us by the time we reach DC we will have thousands.

    Lets make history.

  • magnifique, belle video ! Bravo !

  • The film would be just good on its own. Elmer Bernstein's pulsating score makes it truly outstanding.

  • This (I think) was the greatest westrn of all time! anybody share my opinion?

  • @willieckaslike I do

  • @willieckaslike of course and the greatest music to a western ever

  • i do...it brought tears to my eyes when a saw it. they were the greatest...

  • i want a Marlboro

  • @enterBJ40 lol.. best comment here ;)

  • glad it likes you Tabularasa18109 . kindly regards...BTW: merry Xmas!!!!

  • @willieckaslike The Searchers was the greatest but this is # 2 or 3. When this movie comes on television, even though I own it on DVD and VHS, I still stay up and watch even though I may have seen 5 times this year already !

  • @willieckaslike it was a cool westen. today: yul = neeson/ford/clooney mcqueen = pitt coburn = Gyllenhaal bronson = the rock/stallone dextor = craig vaughn = cruise/willis buchholz = Adam Beach old man Wallach and as they said 15 years ago and still true today it would cost to much money.
  • Great editing on this clip, well done @austinmillbarge22

As for the movie although flawed, its still brilliant and as fresh to watch now as it ever was. Sad to think Robert Vaughan is the only one of the seven still alive.

Maybe Chris & Vin will ride back over that hill one day 5.02.

  • 2:02

    - 'That was the greatest shot I've ever seen'

    - "Worst!..I was aiming at the horse

    Haha

  • lol I was looking at wood strode and saying to my self he looks like yul brynner, then next thing I see an suggestion video with yul in it.

  • ahh...steve mcqueen :))))))))))

  • I think Charles Bronson is the best in this film.

  • /watch?v=qZl2M8BLERs

  • Wallach was so good...and evil...in this. I think he's too often overlooked as giving one of the film's great performances.

  • This is the first film i saw Bronson talking to kids and saving them.

  • I always heard that Akira Kurosawa loved the movie.

  • @glasfurd31

He did. He gave John Sturges a katana in way of thanks.

  • The story is from Seven Samurai, and two Russian origin guys are the top guns Yul and Charles...

  • This motion picture is the result of a perfection of cosmic alignment that brought flawless acting, direction, sets and musical score together like a well oiled machine. This will not happen again for a long time... I hope future generations will preserve movies like this. "The Magnificent Seven" is THE ULTIMATE WESTERN.....

  • marvelous edition. Bravo!!!

  • Robert Vaughan is living and well. All the rest of the Mag-7 died.

  • Chris was the man.

  • GUEN NAO GOSTOU E TONTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • best Western ever!!!!

  • @frankie385 Second best.

  • @Francauvergnat AMEN BRO!!!!

  • Great actors..great movie..great music......they just don't make 'em like this anymore

  • Somehow I don't think you solve my problem...CLASSIC

  • heyy yul brynnerrrrrrrr ( turkey )

  • But then again i guess the reason must be that the older generation were mostly people who did a lot of physical work in the sun and thus the rugged looks unlike most of the present generation who were born in comfortable homes

  • I am from india...and i love hollywood actors of the past , like steve macqueen, charles bronson etc...You guys are true that presently there is not many 'manly' actors. Actors like Gregory peck, who wasnt very rugged still looked manly and classy. But now i guess all of the present actors just want to stay young forever ...

  • Excellent tribute to one of the best western films ever.

  • Whats that music called? I love it, venturing to the west and man had only explorer bits of the west

  • Its never too late to do something magnificent!

  • i'm 43 and it seems all the actors i admired as a kid are all dying off

  • i'm 38 and feel sad because the same...

  • the best western anywhere a great movie

  • The best pre-Leone western ever...RIP Steve, and Yul, and Charlie Bronson, and Jimmy Coburn, and Horst Bucholz. All cooler than "The Duke".

  • Steve McQueen is the poor mans version of Paul Newman.

  • Great western, brilliant cast, glorious music. I loved Robert Vaughans charactor Lee in this movie. He has a great line after the 7 are handed back their guns and told to leave, when he is told by his chums that he does not owe anything to anyone and he replies 'except to myself'. I think McQueen is overrated in this movie though, he may be cool but he could not act his way out of a paper bag. While everyone talks about the 'great cast' and that is true Brynner was the only A lister in 1960.

  • great video best western ever wish i could have watched it at the cinema . but i wasnt born till 68

  • "The Old Man was right. Only the farmers won. We lost....... We'll always lose."

  • excellent video. thanks for posting

  • they sure don't make them like this anymore, thats why I don't watch much modern films :D

  • Great job!!

  • Just lost a friend. He enjoyed against the odds- loved beating bullies- these people exist-makes me cry at the loss-he never lost

  • Cruise vs Brenner

Solving your problems isn't our line - my all time favourite movie line! Love live Yul!

  • Awesome movie!!!

  • Yul Brynner- Legend! Thanks so much got to make you think about everymans demons.

  • nice job

  • Great tribute to a great film. It should never be remade as it was such a great cast - and Steve McQueen is just the ultimate in cool.

  • You did a MAGNIFICENT JOB with your tribute to one of my boyhood's most favorite films! Thank You! Great Work! "NgaiO"

  • Talk about a line up of greats-there will never be these many legendary actors in a single movie again - just amazing-Mc Queen-Bronson-Coburn-Vaughn-YuL-Wallach- JUST KEEPS GOING

  • Talk about a line up of greats-there will never be these many legendary actors in a single movie again - just amazing-Mc Quuen-Bronson-Coburn-Vaughn-YuL-Wallach- JUST KEEPS GOING

  • Slava tebi Srbine Brad Dexter Boris Misel

  • After a film was on at the theatre, it came on the tv about 10 yrs later, this film came out in 1960, so bit of a wait. In the 70s they played it again at the theatre for the young people hard of hearing.

The woman at the kiosk said "its gonna be loud" WELL when Calvera came the second time and he was glaring at the kid,, the hairs on my arms stood up, the music just put you in orbit, never had a feeling like it (hope my Doc aint reading or he will think im short of a marble or sombrero)

  • @RichardElden I don't understand what you're trying to suggest... but what I do know is that he was brave and that he fought it. What do you mean?

  • Called in- so bullies will learn -lump in throat-kick their arse - they come back worse- they aint kiddin themselves trust me this is the template and teverybody at a certain age will look to this as a template. This is Western interpretation of Eastern bravery. But you will meet nos-Irish and Black usually -this is true.

  • Ive taken some flak over the years and will take more im sure lol, this film is the best film ever and in the future there will be nothing to touch it. Deriter64 I can relate to that, when I was 8 and I saw Calvera return with all those men, I thought, stone the crows they will never beat these, the pulsating music and the fear shown on the womens faces, I wanted to steal a donkey somewhere and go and join them, like in Shane I felt like Joey "there's too many", This was when actors could act

  • Steve Mcqueen was incredible in this movie. The way he steals each scene from Brynner is mesmorising. My favourite actor of all time. Has to be the sexiest man the planet has ever seen (well that's my opinion)... beautiful. Also loved Robert Vaughn is this, very handsome & talented.

  • Robert Vaughn (the "Enemies: none.... alive" ) is the only one who is still alive from the 7, it's ironic, that Eli Vallach (bandit leader Calvera) survived six of them so far.

  • Is it just me or why does every actor have that same voice in old movies?

  • Its been half century ago...Thank you for making this..

  • Don't make spectacular movies like this anymore.

  • @ theprisonersix.

    well said mate.

  • Like the tales of King Arthur this movie was a fantasy but when you were a boy 50 years ago it was so much fun!

  • We deal in lead friend

  • i have ever seen this before in tv

  • R I P Steve !!!!

  • @Bidil6 steve mcqueen dead, ? and what abouth robert vaughn? you know?

  • @1962sargento Steve McQueen - 1980 Yul brenner - 1985

    Charles Bronson - 2003

    James Coburn - 2002

    Robert Vaughn - Living

    Brad Dexter - 2002

    Horst Bucholtz - 2003

  • @weeble29 tank you, man, this film is a cult westerm, .I enjoy . regards of brasil

  • É UM FIME DE GRANDE PROJEÇÃO PARA A ÉPOCA EM QUE FOI RODADO ! SIMPLESMENTE ESPETACULAR ! NOTA DEZ PARA A PRODUÇÃO, DIREÇÃO E ATORES !

  • When real men ruled the cinema and the world

  • @Rebel2814

    so true so true

  • @Rebel2814 You said it brother! "They" have redefined what a real man is...to their benefit. Sure helps them to portray the Adrien Brody's of the world as leading me. :)

  • @Rebel2814 Pretty much. Hollywood: Go back to making movies please. The Universe is waiting. The King of Cool and King Ramses in the same movie. Doesn't get better than that.

  • Come to where the Flavor is, come to Marlboro world.

  • Just watched Seven Samurai and I heard this film is an adaption of it, really wanna watch it now..

  • @m030079 : Yep Magnificent Seven is a copy of Seven Samurai's; however it is a good copy and well intentioned, rightly adapted. I vividely recollect that Seven Samurai's left a lingering effect on me; however this movie left a feel good effect.

  • @sshankla I will most certainly see it then, unfortunatly its not in any of the shops I looked in so far, I will probably just buy it over amazon. but I am lookin' foreward to it all the same :)

  • @m030079

It's a very good adaptation. Kurosawa himself called Stuges and told him directly that he did a great job and made a damn good movie.

  • I swear Yul Brynner wore the same exact outfit in "Westworld" O_o

  • @BlueFox284 They were short on wardrobe budget! ; )

  • @BlueFox284 That was intentional.

  • Excellent. Better than the original trailers.

  • Yul Brenner........the original good guy who wore Black.........

  • only 1 still alive

  • why is it that they cant make movies like this anymore...

  • Perhaps not the BEST western, but without a doubt in the top 10. For pure operatic treatment of the genre, you can't beat Once Upon a Time in the West.

  • and so say charles bronson

  • That is absolutely fantastic! The best tribute to the one of the greatest westerns ever. Good for you!

  • Best western ever made seen it 50 times

  • The Coolest Western Ever Made :)

  • Very, very good.

  • 11 dislikes???

    more like: the eleven dumbasses!

  • It can't any better than this all STARS.... great.

  • Robert B. Parker honored this great movie, using it as the format for his Spenser novel "Potshot". Worth reading.

  • Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeesssssssssssssssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • uwielbiam Yula Brynera - Justyśka:*:*:*!!

  • Film jest wyborny , a muzyka dopasowana :)!! lubię!!

  • 'No copyrights infringement intended'. That's OK then

  • Inferior remake for dumb americans.

  • @MrBoBoTom Actually Akria Kurosawa who you may know as the director of The Seven Samurai was so pleased with this movie gave John Sturges the director of this movie a katana as a gift.

  • @MrBoBoTom " Magnificient Seven" inferior? . The only thing inferior is your taste and most likely your breeding....that sounds about right.......now doesn't it??

  • Their families told them we'd rape them.

Well we might, but in my opinion you could have given us the befefit of the doubt.

  • Their families told them we'd rape them.

Well we might, but in my opinion you could have given us the benefit of the doubt.

  • There won't be any trouble, as long as you ride on...

  • It was the worst shot! I was aiming for the horse!

  • We deal in lead friend. Then we are in the same business. Only as competitors, friend. My favorite cowboy movie.

  • Japanese TV 'Golden Legend' music!

  • Classic...

  • My favorite movie

  • this movie is a propaganda piece for the left. Stil, one of my favorite movies of all time.

  • Awesome movie this was along with the great escape

  • should have had Lee van cleef, Ernest borgnine, clint eastwood George kennedy John wayne and robert ryan and they could have won the Alamo! battle.

  • @TheTmny876able: you could've come up with a better cliche than that.
