  • The biggest reason is because of cost. It was ridiculously costly to operate Concorde flights. The secondary reason is because of the incident record. Concorde has a pretty high incident record as compared to most other types of aircraft. After Air France, the stigma hit too hard. Persons were choosing not to fly on Concorde planes so that was it for them.

  • Orgasmic sound of the 777...

  • @jessecruzu Isn't it just. View my remake of this video:

REVISITED: British Airways 777 Barbados takeoff to London Gatwick

    for even higher quality sound.

  • you came on the 4:40pm flight arriving at 5:30am

  • @jordan4541 Correct!

  • @2pb :) i know all of this because i have been on this one before and my mum also works for BA :D

  • i like this good video an view

  • BA=BEST AIRLINES

  • @slipperysoundz When the cabin crew aren't on strike that is ... LOL :)

  • looks like quiet a light load for this flight

  • awsome video i love the 777

  • beautiful view!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @gomezdana Yes indeed - I felt a bit sad leaving it behind though!

  • Nice video i really enjoyed it seriously, but is there a reason why you didn't show the push back?

  • @Agent007202 I'd have missed the flight if I'd hung around to film the push back :) OK - OK - seriously - the safety video/demo is during the pushback.

  • i was fly in 2004 to barbados for 6 weeks it was great

  • Absolutely fantastic....thank u for sharing

  • OMG! I cannot stand being on a plane for more than 3 hours because i just get increadibly bored! Why does it take 7 1/2 hours just to get to america or the caribbean? Why can't they bring back Concorde and then i could be in the states in just over 3 hours rather than 7!

  • Actually it is only 4 hours flight from Barbados to Miami and only a bit longer to New York. It is much longer to London but the flight from Barbados is a night flight and after the meal you tend to drop off to sleep. Going from London to Barbados is more of chore admittedly, as it is entirely during daylight hours.

  • @DanM012324 - how can you get bored on a flight? its great to watch the scenery and enjoy the aircraft. Travelling is good for the soul

  • @DanM012324, Then Fly on emirates they have really good entertainment systems so you will not get bored that easily.

  • @DanM012324, It is very unlikely that the concord will fly again, it's last flight was 26th November 2003. Some of the reasons; The Concorde burned a tremendous amount of fuel to carry a relatively small number of passengers, With rising fuel prices, it simply became cost-prohibitive to continue operating the Concorde. And the planes were also aging, further increasing the cost of maintenance.

  • @DanM012324 because they are dangerous and not every one wants to endanger thousands off people for YOU to go faster

  • @DanM012324 they could really make them safer though

  • @DanM012324 how could you not love being on an airplane i love long flights they are just so fun i just hate the decent because my ear pops and i start to get headaches.

  • well in world traveller, that is...

  • LOL! I've done both and I agree with you. But at the end of the day First is considerably more expensive then World Traveller or Business.

  • It isn't normally though.

  • was the dinner like 5 courses

  • I believe it matched the definition a 5 course meal :) You were also free to have multiple starters if you wished and other snacks like roast beef sandwiches and pasta were available on request. Wine and champagne were on constant flow - You certainly didn't go hungry :)

  • one more question what class were you in and did you have a persional tv

  • I was in First. All seats on the aircraft have personal TVs. The TV in my seat was built into a small sideboard next to the window and pops up for viewing.

  • how many hours last the flight?

  • This particular flight was around 7 hours 45 minutes. In general the time taken varies between 7 hours 20 minutes to 7 hours 45 mins depending on the prevailing winds.

  • Yes - well spotted. The flight left about 15 minutes late, which is why the time signal is heard shortly after takeoff.

  • Any bet thats your clock at 5:04 ringing at 5:00PM

  • Great video!

  • Thank you.

  • First.

  • So how was that? Being in first class must have been nice.

  • It was very nice. A tangible step up from business class.

  • So you had a flat bed? Man it must be nice to have a flat bed. You can actually get some real sleep!

  • Yes - the flat bed is 6-6 in length rather than 6-1 in business class. Agreed - it is nice to get some real sleep on a transatlantic flight - makes a big difference!

  • I've always wanted to get a flat bed but they are just too expensive

  • where you in clubworld?

  • Probably climbing straight out to PEPTI then on to 1800N 05600W

  • Thank you.!

No, I didn't board late. The passengers in the lounge were paged to board shortly after boarding commenced. I hung around to take a short clip of the boarding before heading downstairs to join the queue.

  • Nice vid!

Did you board the aircraft late?
