even though aeolian is the most used mode in modern music now a days i still love writing in it, b/c there can be so much power and melody that comes from it.

Ionian mode=Major scale. This is used more than the Aeolian mode.
In fact, Aeolian is the second least common after Locrian.

@NYJOS never heard someone say this before. natural minor is very common, in my opinion. way more common than say phrygian or lydian...
