  • I remember this commercial....didn't really like the selection of music then, but I appreciate it now. Who'd a thought, this would be the last real era of good music?

  • the 90s were the best, except for almost everything on this crap cd..lol!! give me some babes in toyland and nirvana

  • Ah, the memories of all the great music that came in the first half of the 90's, and how none of that stuff is on this CD

  • 90's were great, everything else is shit.

  • living in the early 90s

  • Damn, the clothes sure were ugly back then, but the culture/music/etc. was so much better than today.

  • reminds me of very late night summer days for some strange reason.

  • @thebigrene1972

I was just agreeing with your previous statement. Thats all.

  • @thebigrene1972

    True indeed :)

It will be interesting in 2012/2013 to see this decade's "flavor" so to speak

  • Shaq?

  • wtf is a cassette?

  • Poisonnnnn... This is what I listened to in kindergarten.

  • i fucking came

god why dont bitches look like that anymore :(

  • Lol, who would buy this in 1995, I could see now but back then? Everyone had those tapes, buried under their nintendo games, super soakers and roaches...or at least in my case

  • I want this CD. What are the chances I'll be able to still get one if I call the number?

  • @wheels85 Ha LIKEEE!!! :)

  • This commercial wasn't from the 90s btw.

  • I remember this infomercial...lol

  • "When I think about you I touch myself..."

    "CAN'T TOUCH THIS"

    lol irony

  • imma going call that number lmao

  • lol, i got this cd when i was a kid. parents called the number and ordered it for me. loved the songs, i would listen to it all the time. my favorite song was the 500 miles one.

  • omg i remeber that commerial i was only like 6 years old when i first saw it in 96 man im getting old

  • This is some of the worst music of the 90s.

  • man does this make me feel sooooo old :(

  • what is that jazz song from 00:45 to 00:48 ??

  • fruit loop

  • That jazz song is Herbie Hancock's "Cantaloupe Island", a very famous jazz standard (but not from the 90s)

  • @MrJazz86 mrjazz you should really do some update, that song is US3´s cantaloop... you´ve ever heard herbie's version?? now you are going to say that groove is in the heart by deee lite is from the 60s as well bc they sample herbie's bring down the birds!!!

  • @peppersprayinthebutt no such jazz song but US3 cantaloop! (jazz rap)

  • Tom Cochrane song's would be the only reasonto get this CD back in the day.

  • This is so awesome! Thank you for all the flashback goodness! :D

  • HOLY SHIT!! I got this compilation on cassete as a gift from my aunt for getting good grades in elementary school.

  • @solitudesblind hahahaha

  • It's only really simple if you are not a deep thinker. The composition behind some of today's modern dance makes 4 chord - riff happy - pentatonic rock sound easy to play. Only I know it's not because I can appreciate the music for what it is. You hear a heavy 4/4 thump... I hear 6 layers of highhats, a string section that wouldn't fit in the Albert Hall and a sample from the 60's that isn't just a sound, it's a story.

  • Ha!....... lmao...a deep thinker? Now I have heard everything. I think you over estimate your musical appreciation and it seems you listened to much to your teacher in your liberal arts class.

I am a musician of 35 years, play many instruments from guitar to violine, to cello to drums and Im hear to tell you, pop music like this can only be for the tin ears of the simple mind. Sell out comes to mind when I hear this drivel. A story--indeed. 420 may have something to do with your stories.

  • Music is my life, maybe I have 'over estimated' how much I like it, probably haven't though because I love it. Yeah there's rubbish on this vid but you referred to what today's kids like. So did I. Although not a kid myself I am involved with their music. Unfortunately like others who don't use their brain you are unable understand my reply and relate it directly to the screen and not your comment. Your narrow view on music is not your fault, just a result of spending little time thinking.

  • Your comment was marked as spam before I even had time to reply. If you read my reply you will see how irrelevant your retort is. "I rest my case". Ha, you want people to look at my comment and scorn/agree with you? Try to keep things relevant.

  • I miss living in the 90's, but this compilation is full of mostly bad songs from that decade. This fails at representing it at all...

  • What crap music they chose...what about Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Nirvana, etc.

  • Yeah right!

  • Gay stupid music....

like seriously. I'm to sexy for my shirt? What kind of music is that....I'd rather listen to the 80's or todays!!!!

  • How many of the artists on this CD are one hit wonders?

  • so 1995 born babies are 90s kids? coool...

  • ahahahah

  • Heh. I remember the day my brother got this CD...

  • I just downloaded those cd's

    LOL

  • There's only one thing to say about living in the 90's: Shit.

I hated all of that music then...and I hate it just as much now, but with even more passion because I remember it.

I remember this commercial well. The chick was hot.

Funny, a lot of people look back on the music they listened to back then and think "oh, god I remember that. I can't believe I used to love it...well, time to listen to whatever the radio tells me to like nowadays".

  • 1995!! The year I graduated High School!! Memories...so awesome

  • I actually remember this commercial when it used to come on TV, mainly the cable channels. I hated music after 1995 anyways. At that point I just decided to got back to my love for 80's/New Wave and forget everything else.

  • yeah but when the 90s kicked in well 93 for me it was a cool ride

  • Nooo fuck they have a 90s shity compilation TV commercial already, damn were old.

  • These are all the songs us old-timers conveniently forget (or wish we could) when we wax nostalgic about how awesome the 90's were.

  • HOUSE OF PAIN!!!!

  • haha, its so weird that when I think of "90s music" I think of backstreet boys, brittany spears, spice girls, and NSync. Guess I kinda ignore the early 90s, cause when I think of these songs I think "corny 80s" :/

  • What about Nirvana, Sublime, Pear Jam, Melvins, AIC, Live, ect. or A Tribe Called Quest, BIG, and Tupac? The best music was from this decade man.

  • that's late 90's

  • Man that fuckin commercial was on a 100 times a day! I remember it so well. Man.

  • A ton of those songs they listed were made in the 80's...

  • Heh. Funny, I always thought of the 90's as sort of 80's left-overs. (If that makes any sense..)

  • so true, its like the 80's didn't end till '92.

  • I agree. The 80's continued for a bit into the 90's, and mid way through the decade is when the real change took place.

  • Most of the "artists" on this compilation are 80s holdovers making their last grasp at the start of the 90s.

If you asked anyone to list 100 artists of the 90s, who is going to list Roxette, Bobby Brown, and Extreme.

There were two parts of the 90's. The first half which culminated summer of 1994 with Woodstock2, and death of Kurt Cobain. The music was the wane of 80s pop and the rise of Grunge.

The 2nd half was the Grunge wannabe bands, Boy band explosion, and mainstreaming of hip-hop.

  • Very well put. Also since this CD was released in 95', it only covered the first half of the decade; and the 80's sort of carried off into the early 90's.

Lol it would've been more appropriate calling this CD "Farewell 80's, Hello 90's"

  • @RichV20 spot on man!!!

  • When did they sell this?

  • yea they sold cds in the mid 80s

  • No Smashing Pumpkins, Nirvana, pearl jam or anything like that on those CDs, from what I can tell. They just went for the crappy songs people hardly cared about.

  • it's the 90's cause they sell cd's lol

  • I wonder if we'll look back 10 years from now and be like, "Oh the early 2000s were the BEST!"

    Somehow I doubt it... =D

  • What shitty ass songs, how many copy's did they sell?

  • The early 90s were a good time. I think 94 or 95 might have been the last really good year. Just seems like everything's been going to hell from the late 90s up to now.

  • Comment removed

  • Right, cause those way-too-tight girl pants worn by emo/hipster teenage boys are so much more fashion forward.

  • Well, why thank you for your comment. :]

  • It's better then today we're guys we're jeans half way down their ass and Girls acts as emos.

  • the 90s was probely the last best decade and will be for a long time.

  • @AndrewKarrrrrr888882 thats kinda really dumb, wtb less shitty internet?

  • @AndrewKarrrrrr888882 I agree with you man. I think few things from the 2000's deserve to be looked back on with nostalgia (I don't mean NOTHING, but not a whole lot). After 1999 it seems like everything except video games and (to an extent) TV has gotten worse. Music, fashion, commercials, politics, sports, and even the fads aren't as memorable as anything from past decades. I wish I could go back in time to the 1900s so I can see all the amazing things I missed (I was only born Jan. of 1990).

  • @Eatgrunts BALA-BALANTSU!

  • @Eatgrunts The worse for me is TV. It's funny because TGIF ended in 2000 right when the new decade began. It wasn't until maybe a year ago that I finally started watching network TV again. Hell, 30 Rock is the first thing I've watched on NBC since Fresh Prince and maybe 3rd Rock From The Sun. I think TV is coming back but I'm hoping this decade gets better. There's still some carry over from the last but that's usually how it goes.

  • @Eatgrunts yeah id love to live without electricity. maybe that neighbour you hated would blow up in a gas explosion. and no antibioltics! gasoline wth is that?

  • @AndrewKarrrrrr888882 I fully agree. It was the last time things felt real. Everything now is all about cell phones, the internet, and that's it. No one talks to each other anymore.

  • Lame!

  • What? This is 1995, they're selling a Living in the 90s cd. They're in the fucking 90s! Those dumb shits!

  • And it's only the Mid 90's. lol

  • can i still get these CD's?

  • Man, this is SO 90s! I remember watching this commercial like it was yesterday. I even thought the girl was hot at the time.

  • her looks are obviously outdated for obvious reasons but that dosnt stop her from beeing uber hot :P

  • i would fuck her retro ass any day of the week

  • please tell me the song on 0:45

  • US3 - Cantaloop (features featuring Rahsaan & Gerard Presencer). Watch my vids please thanks.

  • my older bro bought these cd's when they came out, i lost the last one of the 2 in 01.

  • the number just keeps on ringing.. lol I just called about 2 mins ago.

  • HAHA, I just found these CDs in my old case and loaded it up on Itunes 2 days ago!!

  • wtf they advertised this shit in the middle of the 95 and we supposed to be livin in the 90's? c'mon

  • Early 90's > Later 90's

  • @eightbitgnosis Late 90's > Early 90's

  • @nintendogsyo hahaha I don't know about that one man. The early 90's seemed better. If only I was born a little bit earlier than '92 but I firmly remember most things from about '94-99. I'd have to go with early 90's having a better vibe

  • This commercial made me wanna be a singer. I was like 6 at the time though :-P

  • I remember that commercial. Old School, but still awesome lol

  • aww i miss the 90's

  • I do remember lookin' up this CD a few months ago on Amazon and they said it was out of stock. When I first saw this commercial, I always felt attracted to that girl and I still am. I suppose the reason is because she's wearing a belly shirt. Those outfits will always get my attention on a woman. I'm sure if she did this commercial today, she'd have a belly piercing today ; )

  • call the number to see if their still around ..

  • I called it!!

  • Did anything happen?

  • I want this CD! hahahaha

  • Look at ebay. I hope they have it.

  • That chick is superfly.

  • I actually remember this being on TV. Wow.

  • lol, I can. I think I was in fourth grade I saw this on tv and thought it was so awesome.
