when the beads dried up and turned white in color, did you recharge them by soaking them in distilled water? This question contradict's the whole "that never needs refilling" comment.
So if I use cigar mechaninic in my humidors, they'll never need to be recharged? Come on man, even the cigar mechanic website state's they have to be recharged every so often. Quit making false advertisements. Damn Noob.
one amazing humidification product, that never needs refilling, is CIGAR MECHANIC. What a lie. So far every humidification device needs to be recharged. Even oasis and hydra's need to be refilled.
look Kurt, you and I both know the product works just fine. Drew Estate would not carry it exclusively if it did not. Please stop trying to defame the product because it is your competitor. That is all...
@CreateFreely Actually, I had a cigar mechanic round unit in one of my humidors and it didn't work very well. Seems like the beads stopped working after a while. Just me. Not saying it's a bad product.
wait, if they release at a constant rate, there should be a predictable time at which they need refilling. if there's varibles such as the ones kurt talked about, doesn't that mean it doesn't release 70% consistantly?
Not neccesarily, but eventually, yes, they do need refilling. I just installed a cyrstal humidifier in a humidor I KNOW is leaky, and so far it's keeping a constant 69%, which is right where I want it. How long until I have to refilll? Don't know, but I'll make note of it when I do. -G.

@SIROPTIMO357 Good question. You should use the XiKAR solution made for the crystals, but distilled water also works fine. I have used both in mine.

@pong415 I doubt the show will ever come to California. Too anti-smoking. It would never work. And so it goes... ;-)
