The Motorola Droid X Records at 15 frames per seconds. I don't know what iPhone Records at. Droid X Has over 800x720 pixel resolution. The Droid is better in high lighted area but in low light I think Apple is slight better. I'll have to go with the Droid though.
The iPhone has more fps (frames per second) but the droid slightly better video quality. The iPhone was better at the dog part so there both good but the next iPhone may have 720p video recording immagine that on a phone I'm not surenit could be true
wow someone actually knows what the are talking about i have the droid and i have to say im disapointed in the dark but wowo VIDEOS IN THE DAY BLOW ME AWAY
I'd like to hear from a real videophile about how much of the performance difference is simply the levels or other things that could be changed with apps, and how much is just difference in cameras.
In certain lighting conditions, the Droid video quality is great, but the iPhone 3GS video quality wins overall. Also, it sounds like the 3GS is recording the full frequency of audio, which sounds nice and crisp, whereas the Droid is cutting off the higher frequencies.
Two points: 1.) I would like to see whatever rig you used to get both phones to shoot the same thing at the same time. 2.) If I had an iPhone, "What is this, liver?" would be my new ringtone.
I think the iPhone wins in the lower light shots. But the Droid gives it a run for its money in the brighter light. The white balance is very different between the two cameras. I prefer the iPhone's in low light. Not sure which is closer to actual conditions in bright light.
Try it with the new iPhone and New Droid.

They look comparable. But I think the next iPhone will have HD video, so this comparison will soon be moot. Maybe Droid2 will have 4k resolution. lol

the audio is considerably better on the droid but video was better on 3GS. Oh damn and blast! Isn't it always that way.
