If their is no God than Daniel by no means could have foretold the coming of JESUS CHRIST precisely in such fashion. In just the first moments of combat 10 of these soldiers died because they rushed in to get these kids out and used their bodies as shields against the bullets shot at the children. Another member threw his body on a grenade next to the kids, yet another took all the fire so that the kids could keep running.

You can't put the religion and those who follow it in the same place. The US president puts his hand on the bible then sends soldiers to kill in Vietnam, Afghanistan and Iraq, The Israeli Prime minister is Jewish then send soldiers to kill in Gaza and West Bank and until 2006 other places, and so on and so forth. Religion is more diverse than that.

Actually, they WERE given independence back in 96, during the first Chechen war. And look what they did with that - invaded neighbouring Russian Dagestan, and tried to start up insurgency there and annex that territory. When Putin came to power in 2000, he put them Chechens back in their place.
