I was wondering why so many people watched this series, so i finally watched it myself and was captivated by this intelligent yet heartwarming series. The music itself are extremely beautiful! I also loved how the story of the lonely girl and the robot wrapped up the whole story at the end. Clannad was the whole package to a wonderful story!!!!

Clannad After Story is my favoutire anime! If i remembered correctly, my friend kept telling me to watch clannad for more than a year. I ignored the anime because i thought the art was crap and all that. Then after listening to him, it has already been my fav anime since. I'm thankful for that.

For all you arguing about the "demographic" of Clannad, the visual novel was the first one in Key's history to have only an all ages version, but even then they knew the majority of buyers would fall into the "seinen" demographic. The anime did not have that problem, but it was still broadcast at 1-3 in the MORNING. It is mainly Seinen, but it's also perfectly okay to call it all ages. Anyone who thinks it is shoujo needs to reassess their cultural values.

The mangaka of Fruits Basket (a woman) is a big fan of Sakura Taisen where this is the concept (that is the male protagonist wins over one of the girls in a fighting troop, with a cover as an acting troupe, where he is the captain. They do battle and the more they like him, the better they fight. Plus he gets to do stuff like peek on them when they have baths/showers).

Then there are men who like Cardcaptor Sakura! =3

I remember in the first season everyone kept on saying it was sad in the second season. I finished the 1st one and I said "Wow! That was nothing!". Then I began the 2nd one and I remember saying that everyone was wimps. Then I finished it and I was crying like a maniac. Would have gone through clinical depression if it hadn't ended happily.

Clannad was the most amazing anime I have ever watched, and I've seen quite a few... It was funny when it needed to be, it had great characters, but the two most amazing factors were how heartwarming it was, and the amazing music.

I cried more than once when watching clannad. The story was so well made, and the music was so good, that even that could make you cry. This song is making me feel sentimental!... I though angel beats was pretty good too, but it's still not as good. Key is amazing.
