Making a comparison between this and Alucard is just plain stupid.

Super Castlevania 4 is based upon the classic arcade-sidescrolling game, walk-kill-walk.

Symphony is based on rpg, it's a 2D side-scrolling rpg, with castlevania elements.

I have to say I was raised with Simon Belmont, for super nintendo, and Dracula X came later. I like both, but if I have to choose the best (for me, the one i like better) is SC4.

Then again, same franchise, different gameplay, different mechanics.

This game is good but it depends on taste! Many people around the world love SOTN better then this one and it showed a charts and votes! I like SOTN better, mainly do to the leveling and different types of weapons! That's my favorite though, but this game is kick ass! Love the intro music! I can jam to it!

@ningeaBLADEclanuBECA there has to be a balance between more story and character and the what would now be considered more western elements that the castlevania series easily had. the new one seems to be trying but it doesn't seem gothic or anything, seems more like their shelving everything including the style of the older ones.
