  • This is why people should think twice before envying royalty. With the stories of Victoria and Queen Elizabeth I's childhoods, I have to wonder why anyone would want to be born into that level of ambition and intrigue, with all these people plotting on how to get all they can out of you.

  • A beautifully arranged Trailer. I saw this trailer at the cinemas here in Australia so I was happy when someone finally placed the same trailer up. It holds the most emotional attachment for me; beautiful, stunning.

  • is this the Dutch language in the subtext? I hope the Dutch LOVE this film about our victoria as much as Canadians have warmed to the film..we should criticize the Oscars nominations for not including it in their acting or directing nominations

    The subtitles aren't in Dutch (I speak Dutch), but I think it's more like Danish or Swedish ;)

  • thanks very much........all in all, the Dutch, the Danes and the Swedes have constitutional monarchies like Canada and Britain and share bloodlines with Queen Victoria's family. You know of course that the film just won the Oscar for BEST COSTUME DESIGN . I only wish that acting awards had been awarded by the Academy too.

  • I LOVE the costumes in this movie, and I think it's a shame that it's the only price they have won or have been nominated for. In my opinion Emily Blunt did a wonderful performens (do you say that in English?) as Queen Victoria. They have to see that she's a great actress because I think she's sometimes underappreciated. (Example: Golden Globes)

  • You as a Belgian should enjoy the history in the movie as much as i do with the first Belgian King prominent in the movie....but for Canada VICTORIA is of the utmost importance for even though she didn't come here, we became a nation in 1867 during her reign and she sent her children here

  • i agree with every word you say what i love the most about them is that they truely LOVED each other and marry each other cause of they love and it wasnt a political marrige . back in those days that was something rare.
