Oh yes, I also salvage +/- 50lb a week of either Iams, Science-Diet, Eukanuba or other high-end Cat food. I give away all the extra dog and cat food to friends. So a trip once or twice a week to walk my dog behind just 1-store feeds at least 10-dogs and numerous cats. Since then I've discovered my local Kroger by 9pm each nite throws away their fresh baked whole chickens they have for sale at the check-out lanes. So once a week I salvage at least 3-4 still sealed hot baked chickens for my dog.
@orange70383 Iams & science diet use gluten, which acts as sugar in the body and often creates diabetes, they use unspecified meat & animal products, which has been found to be anything from dead zoo animals % road kill to actual dead dogs & cats. They also use natural flavours which is msg in the form of hydrolyzed soy, veg or brewers yeast. MSG causes lesions in the brain & is a neuron killer. Can't say I would brag about feeding that to my pets...

My dog is my 1st dog ever, I got her as a pup from the humane society 13-years ago. She weighs 60-pounds and is a mix of mostly Border collie and Golden Retriever. Her hips started giving her trouble this year. We walk 1/2-1 mile daily which does help her. We live alone and she is a true blessing. I love my little girl more than I can say.

Most people are giving their pets msg every time they feed . In Vancouver I get origen dry & evangers wet for my cat, I feed raw or acana or origen for my dogs...there are a few other brands (but they put garlic in-potential stomach torsion for dogs), I don't know safe brands in yer hood-check labels!
