Playoffs are more intense and defense are much better than the regular season. Teams make adjustments and the real great players rise to the challenge. Kobe's numbers in the playoffs are lower than his regular season numbers.

Both are great players, but Jordan was greater. Ppl forget sometimes that even when he was with the Wizards he still played really well. The rules are softer now and it woulda been easier for him to finish around the basket in today's game since you cant stand in the lane as long now and there arent as many quality big men as before. He had to finish against guys like Ewing, Hakeem, Shaq, Mourning, Mutombo, Malone, Bird, Mchale, Parrish, Laimbeer playing more physical than today's big men.

Number of rings does not make the greatest player...Bill Wennington, Bobby Hansen, Will Perdue, Stacey King etc all had 3 rings, doesn't make them greatest at anything.
Ring is a team success measure...even if Kobe ends up with more rings all it says is the Lakers may have ended up a better team. Who is to say if Jordan did not take a 2 year hiatus what would have been.

Playoffs are more intense and defense are much better than the regular season. Teams make adjustments and the real great players rise to the challenge. Not to nitpick, but no, kobe would not make a good wide receiver. Being a good wide receiver requires you to not only have certain physical attributes(combo of size speed and lateral quickness), its also about route recognition, beating press, zone, and man coverage and actually having the toughness to make catches and getting hit.
