@ThePINKgirlFORLIFE The bug you saw was an American Cockroach, known in NYC as Waterbugs. The Water Bug is a different insect. I grew up in the Bronx too and used to deal with them but believe it or not, these water bugs are even bigger! And they bite. But they are aquatic, you won't see any of them in the inner city unless your boiler room has a minnow population. lol

Cought one of these fuckers in a man made pond near the lake where I fish while netting minnows. I had my bass tape with me and it measured 2 3/4" long. Mean little shit to. They do give a nasty bite

I worked at a full service gas station in Michigan and these used to fall out of cars all the time. They are very lethargic when on dry land.

last night I was filling up my gas tank and this HUGE water bug flew into the gas pump with a bang! I was amazed and my daughter took a pic of the bug, I had my tape measure and it measured 4.1 inches LONG!!!! The sodium lights of the gas station must of attracted here and winter is closing in fast! I am in southeren Quebec about 45 minutes from the Vermont border.
