I dont know alot about wood, but enough I guess to know you guys all have gd points! I was a bit confused with what he was saying with the 3 diff types.
-The best of the 3 is MDF ??? Maybe for machining applications. It certainly not for quality furniture, and certainly does not have the most integrity!
-You should go more in depth about plywood. Differences in face grades and types. It isn't all CDX. A-B cabinet grade makes wonderful furniture.
- Finally, veneer. It's flexibility in application is king. You should expand on flitches, layup, and cut orientation.
You can pick it a mile off by its uniform repeating grain pattern which usually always rather bland and featureless without any interesting figure unless its a burr.Mdf is rubbish.

Even the lowest grade of plywood is NOT made of "remnant" wood. This video is FULL of misinformation
