I updated from 10.7 to 10.7.3 with software update and now the system won't start anymore... I'm stick at the gray Apple logo with no spinning reel... Have u got any ideas why this is happening to me? :(

This installed lion image runs in 32 bit, lion is designed to run in 64bit and this laptops cpu is 64 bit. I got a bit of a speed boost downloading NullPowerManagement.kext from insanelymac's 1201n tutorial.

Put it in S/L/E then run kext utility. Then switch to 64bit easily using chameleon.pref

Thanks again!! Is anyone else's finder slow? Takes 2,3,5, sometimes up to 10 seconds to change to a different folder after a click. Windows is almost instant.. ugh.. everything else seems fine though. Could this be because it is MBR and not GUID ?

@dankdbs Are you working on MackintoshHD? Maybe it's rendering all files for a future search. Can you turn off bluetooth on BIOS and test it again? Hope it helps.

@toletum91zgz Hmm, well the volume I'm working from is named Mac HD Does the name matter? I'll name it to the default name, see if that helps and disable bluetooth now and see. One thing I noticed is that terminal reports a 32 bit kernel and activity monitor reports 90% of the processes running being 64-bit. Maybe I need a 64-bit atom kernel?

It fully works. I only have a problem. On Windows the fan doesn't make noise when I don't use the netbook (or I'm opening something small) and the screen and desktop is on, but when I start Lion, the fan always stuck at 25-30% and can't go below 25% of fan usage. Why the fan is always doing his job?

I test with two usb adapter with chip RT2870 and RT3572 and everything work.

1. Go to "Terminal" and write "sudo -s chflags nohidden /Extra"

2. Download file. Link below the video #DSDT & Instructions.

3. Open the file and select DSDT for your notebook. Extract it to folder /Extra (replacing the old one)

THANKS!! After download install took a whole 10 minutes!! (Had to re-install when I figured out that if you want a bigger partition than 20GB you have to expand target disk in paragon first) Can run Netflix, Games like Doom3 run flawless. Apps Maya, Photoshop, FinalCut, Ableton, no probs either. My only issue is after updating to 10.7.2 sleep is fucked, when i close the lid I'm boned and need a restart. Warrior can you send me your Sleepenabler, powermanagement kexts? Would this help me?

@dankdbs Also, apparently the Facetime fix is installing the newest Chimera bootloader. I'm worried this might leave me with an unbootable lion. If anyone knows if this works, or tries this please post results

Install on 10.7.1 and solve the problem of facetime.

Install update form Chameleon Wizard and everything works!

The OS X is in a partition (E) it has an entry made by EasyBCD, it load from C:/NST/nst_mac.mbr but when I restart my PC it gives the error that Windows is not installed or whatever. Application is missing or broken. Can anyone help?

1. Create a separate folder (let it will be "Lion")

2. Unpack files from a folder "1201N" in a folder "Lion".

3. Unpack files from a folder "1201N001" in a folder "Lion".

4. Move or copy a file "arc_240911040309611.pfm" from a folder "1201N001" to a folder "Lion".

Lion\ *.PBF *.001 *.pfm

5. Launch the program "Paragon Buckup and Recovery" and specify a way to PBF to a file which is in a folder "Lion".

@stadytady Привет. Я делал так: установил Win 7, с Win 7 восстановил образ установленного Snow Leopard, из под Snow Leopard создал установочную флешку Lion'а, установил Lion'а с флешки и поставил нужные кексты.

@tonijerkovic In general, the netbook is outdated. There is need to look for what you need it. Modern games on it already will not start, but that program is almost spit no problems. The first problem is a bad job with the flash and the second is a high-definition video, but it is only in "Windows", for "Mac OS" of these key problems I do not watch.

@Warrior9659321 I don't really intend to play games on it so I don't care about that. What do you mean by problems with flash and hd video? There are many clips showing 1201n playing hd video without problems even through hdmi on big screens. Did you replace your wifi card with the dell one or lion works with the stock one?

@tonijerkovic Problems with Flash due to the fact that the processor is too weak, it is very noticeable in games or Flash applications on a large Flash. That the braid HD video then need a separate program supports CUDA kernel, it is usually installed on the netbook initially, but if you run into something other than the video begins to fail.

Not fully realized the last question. I use the original WiFi card (AW-NE785H (Atheros AR9285))
