The proposed action is inadequate. The trillions assessed to the taxpayers is grossly negligent. Much money is funneled into private corporate interest. The proposed action is inadequate. The trillions assessed to the taxpayers is grossly negligent. Much money is funneled into private corporate interest. This is criminal mismanagement on the part of our government and should be ground for dismissal of all in participation exploiting their power for personal gain. The large allottment should be returned to the people. The smaller amount is more than adequate to fund any real threat this country suffers. Private industry is the winner of this game

When you add in military costs in other Cabinet departments, that's another $150 billion. The wars have been funded largely by Supplemental Spending Bills that are additional funds allocated outside the budget. Those Supplemental Funds are what Grayson is talking about.

@evromsd the point is that waterboarding isn't pleasant but neither is sleep deprivation, sitting under bright lights, etc. which I don't think anyone would volunteer for but aren't real torture (cutting off fingers, scarring with hot metal, etc.). The fact is that waterboarding caused K.S.M. to break so it got results. I wouldn't put the number of their nukes at more than 200, although I'm thinking in terms of warheads. They probably do have quite a few more smaller munitions; i.e. suitcase nukes, micro nukes, etc.

@vigholate keep in mind that the Taliban in Afghanistan allowed Osama Bin Ladin and his terrorist friends to train there and to use that country as a base. The Taliban refused to give up Bin Ladin or to stop the terrorist training going on there. The Taliban is the enemy.

It wasn't the Taliban who refused to give up Bin Dead; it was the Afghan gov who wanted the US to provide proof that Bin Dead did 911. The US never provided proof but used the that as a pretext to invade.
Plans to invade Afghan were drawn up long before Israel blew up the WTC towers and Building 7.

The same Taliban which knew who was preaching the Gospel in its borders didn't know Bin Ladin was a terrorist (the same terrorist who declared war on the U.S.)? That makes no sense.

There are two disinfo groups that have been producing the video and audio tapes. The videos were created by Intelcenter, the U.S. monitoring group that routinely releases Bin Laden video and audio, much of which have been proven to be either rehashed old footage or outright fakes, is an offshoot of IDEFENSE.

Why isnn't Bin Laden on the FBI's list of terrorist and listed as the mastermind of the countries greatest domestic tradegy? I watched debunking 9-11 and the video still has no conclusive evidence about buidling 7 due to fire fell at free fall speeds. Buildings have collasped by fire, but never before at free fall speeds.

There is overwhelming evidence that Bin Ladin was behind 911, that Building 7 fell due to fires and structural damage due to the falling WTC. Popular Mechanics did a gigantic story on the myths of 911 and there are other websites that do good jobs.
Osama had his own flow of money and didn't need the U.S. as was even admitted to by Ayman al-Zawahiri.

Popular Mechanic and other debunking sitea make assumptions, but again, never in history has a skyscraper fallen, with crimp at near free fall speeds, which they cannot explain away. Bldg 7 wasn't greatly damaged from either tower 1/2 as bldg 6 was in the way of direct impact of Bldg. 7. Try again.

@tpwatson Building 7 did not fall at near free fall speeds. There is video showing that it did not. Building 7 was damaged heavily because it was 47 floors in height whereas Building 6 was 8 floors tall. Building 7 would have only been shielded for those 8 floors.
We haven't done torture. That is a straw man argument. Data taken from intense questioning techniques is another story.
