very nice! but you have some wrong informations i think. this is not a turkish instrument, its a instrument from byzantium.they use it in byzantine music loooong time before turkish come in anatolia
No need for Christians and Muslims to argue over music! Music has no borders. From Iraq to Italy and Austria, these or some of these lands have been often part of one Empire: Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman. There have been cross-influences. True, Greek music even since antiquity was related to both "Western" and "middle eastern" music, a distinction that came later.
You say christians have nothing ,dont forget byzantine empire and how rich tradition had much before the ottoman empire, then ,turkish music has everything got from greek byzantine, armenian and kourdish and of course they had all these elements from the countried they fought of ,leran history then speak
that's great, isn't it. I mean, for instance British and German people has been living together for almost 2.000 years or something like that, and there is no such great composition which includes both culutre's own music style. If Turks are capable of unifying their music style with Greek Byzantine, Armenian and Kurdish styles with that beauty, then all I can say is congratulations!, that's wonderful!
I dlike to add a comment here, let's not make borders for such a beautiful act and art such as music. Nations and nationalism after all are a modern ages form of human society, ottomans weren't turkish only but muslims and christians and pagans and nomads same goes for byzantine empire, music is sentiment and logic not nationallity, a human being can play good music wherever he or she is from. And the most magicall thing of all is the mixture of traditions or expressions of all people
