Great score for the reboot of Planet of the Apes. The main titles are just spectacular. Due to his percussion background, Danny Elfman always blows me away with what that section of the orchestra is doing. Great, great stuff.

Ever since Mark Walberg went on record that he regretted doing "Boogie Nights" (An awesome film that he was lucky to be cast in) I find him so lacking in atmosphere that he should have been cast alongside Tom Hanks in Apollo 13.

In my perspective i got the idea if what if extra terrestrials came to establish control over us. Makes you think about the way we treat animals. decades ago the plane and the rocket ship where not possible. Now we have cybernetic eyes and jetpack prototypes. There is 4 billion solar systems in this galaxy alone.

@pureefficient fair yarn, however this movie wasn't about ETs, nor was it about technilogical development or how many solar systems there are in the galaxy.

It's about how this planet supposedly develops and the change of supremacy between species. Then it looked at possible beastility, amongst other bad story arcs. Visually great, poorly written story.
