I think its kind of funny the Castle at the beginning!!! I remember playing with that same one when I was a kind or one that looked similar too it haha Would have to see it closer up, but Im pretty sure its the same one!!!
Burgundy Years, May All Saints and Christendom on White Horses are why WATMM is one of my all time fav albums. My friends in Bible College thought I was crazy for liking this, but I didn't care. While they had their Newsboys, AA and DC Talk, I was blasting this :)
btw this is my favorite song from them..i used to wait all day watching ztv (remember that) for this vid to come on...that or butterly by seven day jesus...and heaven in the real world by scc
I love that this is the first video that comes up when you type in "Joy Electric". It is, after all, the finest thing Joy Electric has ever produced, possibly the greatest music video period.
Both brothers have a trend of reusing different sounds and progressions in their respective genres, sometimes within the same album. I just think that Ronnie does it WAY more and the trimmings behind each reused idea aren't as interesting to me when compared to SF59's stuff. Also, consider how Jason's music has been transforming the whole time while Ronnie has stayed the same mostly. It's like he never grew up in a way. My favorite JE is Music Makers, Melody, and possibly Mannequin.
i lovveee starflyer 59 waayyy more!!!!!! its just my opinion tho...theyre both cool but i cant really listen to this...it kinda freaks me out BUT THE BEATS ARE SO COOL!!!
Joy Electric is fun. It's not the music you can score pussy points with a lot of chicks. I think he's stuck in this Kraftwerk analog mono synthesizer sound waaay too much. I've met Ron Martin. Great guy and I give him props for having the balls to do what' he's doing.
Well the Martin bros have been making great albums way before 2000. And you can't say that about Tooth and Nail if you don't pay attention to the bands. MAE came from Tooth and Nail. Morella's Forest came from Tooth and Nail. Roadside Monument was interesting. Emery's first album had some beautiful stuff. You gotta look hard. Lotta gems have come from that label. But lately, yeah, I don't see too much that really stands out.
Starflyer 59 is okay, but nothing compared to Joy Electric's music. Every song is a unique musical composition. The melodies are easily distinguishable from all his other songs. Most of Starflyer's music is guitars, and the strumming makes it hard to hear what is actually making up the song. It is a musical style, but not clean-cut and awesome like JE.
You had me laughing really hard. His music is all the same drab old technology. I think you ought to just own up that it's just personal preference. Starflyer 59's music helps me get through the days. It's intensely meaningful. Joy Electric's isn't meaningful at all to me.

How do people like this? I might as well record a person with tourettes trying to take shit but has constipation. It would be better sounding than this. At least iw ould laugh. Wait, this music video is so retarded that i already am laughing. Oh and the lyrics of course. Make no fucking sense what so ever which makes me laugh too. And annoying ass beat of course
i dont really like joy electric's songs and videos...(( i dont meen that thooth&nail hasn't got great videos!! )) but still...i like them...i don't like them...it's got a strange feeling..
Ambivalent. I hate it and I love it. I buy every album. This video looks like a bad acid trip - I love him in concert - beautiful chaos- no one does anything like this
Possibly the wierdest video I have ever seen in my life. Scratch the possibly part. What a beauty -- remember first seeing this when I was in college and my reaction was something between bewilderment and laughter.
This video never ceases to blow me away. Nothing less than stellar.

@prophetkillz It's not. I know Zelda II by heart. But I can't discredit you, there is a similarity.

I've read the lyrics time and time again and I still haven't a clue what this song is supposed to be about.
Is there some sort of esoteric symbolism going on here?
