Burgundy Years, May All Saints and Christendom on White Horses are why WATMM is one of my all time fav albums. My friends in Bible College thought I was crazy for liking this, but I didn't care. While they had their Newsboys, AA and DC Talk, I was blasting this :)

Both brothers have a trend of reusing different sounds and progressions in their respective genres, sometimes within the same album. I just think that Ronnie does it WAY more and the trimmings behind each reused idea aren't as interesting to me when compared to SF59's stuff. Also, consider how Jason's music has been transforming the whole time while Ronnie has stayed the same mostly. It's like he never grew up in a way. My favorite JE is Music Makers, Melody, and possibly Mannequin.

Joy Electric is fun. It's not the music you can score pussy points with a lot of chicks. I think he's stuck in this Kraftwerk analog mono synthesizer sound waaay too much. I've met Ron Martin. Great guy and I give him props for having the balls to do what' he's doing.

Well the Martin bros have been making great albums way before 2000. And you can't say that about Tooth and Nail if you don't pay attention to the bands. MAE came from Tooth and Nail. Morella's Forest came from Tooth and Nail. Roadside Monument was interesting. Emery's first album had some beautiful stuff. You gotta look hard. Lotta gems have come from that label.  But lately, yeah, I don't see too much that really stands out.

Starflyer 59 is okay, but nothing compared to Joy Electric's music. Every song is a unique musical composition. The melodies are easily distinguishable from all his other songs. Most of Starflyer's music is guitars, and the strumming makes it hard to hear what is actually making up the song. It is a musical style, but not clean-cut and awesome like JE.

You had me laughing really hard. His music is all the same drab old technology. I think you ought to just own up that it's just personal preference. Starflyer 59's music helps me get through the days. It's intensely meaningful. Joy Electric's isn't meaningful at all to me.

Possibly the wierdest video I have ever seen in my life. Scratch the possibly part. What a beauty -- remember first seeing this when I was in college and my reaction was something between bewilderment and laughter.
