overpriced, like mad! You can get a guitar built to your own personal spec for much less and for the same price get one made far far better by going to a small independent luthier. Search Michael Greenfield, Matsuda guitars or Kostal guitars as examples
Love PRS guitars and have two in my firing line but the only acoustic they have atm priced correctly is the SE Angelus, these ones although great are way overpriced for what's out there in the market
great love to have one but ovver priced =P better off with a smaller manufacturer someone like Beneteua, more options on woods, superb craftmanship and plenty of room for custom options and still works out cheaper even being to get something better. But like i say, i'd still love one!!
If I would pay over 5000 bucks for an acoustic guitar I would never buy a mass-produced guitar such as this one. I would go to a luthier and let him/her build exactly what I would like to have.
I think this is one of those things that you can't really give an honest opinion about until you've played both guitars. I own a martin D28, so i know how magnificent their guitars can be, but i've also played a Tonare and i have to say they both have their strong points. The martin is kinda like the harley of guitars, everyone knows them and if its your style you'll never like anythings more. The Prs is a fantastic guitar with great tone, comfort, and sound. I'd take either in a heartbeat.
I would have to disagree with TrustinYahweh below. Though Martin are beautiful sounding guitars, Paul offers the player an acoustic with a sparkling high end, soothing mid range, and a punchy low. Paul is one the most respected builders in the music business for a reason. Some of the finest instruments ever made are built by this man. This acoustic guitar is nothing less than perfect!!

martins are only good if you like things with a lot of bass
if you like lots of bass- Martin
mid range- gibsons
treble- taylor
... this sounds a lot like a taylor to my ears
