  • the bible is common sense. Good stuff in there.

10 commandments good practice. i like some of the bible, some i don't understand but eh. Maybe we put a little faith in the something the results can be good even if we find it hard to believe in something we cant see.

  • the scritoures were all written by men

  • And apparentely none of the comments I submitted before the last, of which my last comment would have been understood correctly from, have not been posted for some reason ...

  • Maybe I shoudn't even say that logic is "useless" persay, but that it is wrong, just like it is with anything else, to put it before God.

  • I don't think the point being made is that logic in and of itself is "bad", but that it is useless in the long run. If in the long run our souls are going to end up in heaven or in hell for eternity, and if being cleansed by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ is the only way to go to heaven, then it would be "logical" to be saved by Jesus Christ.

  • If logic is such a bad thing, read St. Paul ? The arguments in his letters depend for their force on syllogistic reasoning - which is what logic uses.

If logic is worthless - so are his letters; so is an awful lot of the Bible. Trashing reason makes the Bible worthless, or meaningless. W/o logic, your video is meaningless.

As for Reformed theology - Calvin, Hodge, Turretin and too many others to count do not jump up & down on syllogistic reasoning; they use it instead.

  • Miracles have ZERO to do with Logic. It is perfectly logical in fact that an omnipotent God can perform supernatural feats. The distinction you need to make is "Man's" philosophy, or Man's Logic, or Man's righteousness that is bad, but the Logic, philosophy, and righteousness of God are surely to be pursued. You seem confused about this topic. I can elaborate more if you'd like.

  • Brother, you have incorrectly defined logic. Logic is not "man's wisdom". In fact, "logos" which you expressed in the definition of the word logic (1:40) is used to describe the Word of God in John 1.1

God does not call logic foolishness. What an erroneous statement! He calls His Son the Logos!

Brother, be careful what you teach.

    Grace and Peace

    John

  • Brasik1 is right on one thing: Logic is overrated. In fact, logic doesn't really explain too much of any thing that goes on in this crazy world any way, most of it self-destructive.

Also, Christian faith is not just for the scholar and the learned. People who cannot read can still know and love Jesus with all their strength also.

Logic. What? Like we're all supposed to be college graduates before we're allowed to hope? Your message is actually very hopeful. Thanks.

  • amen bro Thomas , it is only by the Spirit of the living God that we come to the saving knowledge of our risen Lord Jesus, your testimony speaks volumes beloved brother, love in Christ bro Ron..ISAIAH CHAPTER 51:1 Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.

  • sometimes logic can get in the way of the truth....

  • very well said

  • if people had to disobey God everyday then they could not be held accountable for sinning ,if they didn't have the power to stop sinning then they could not be judged for sinning!

but since men do have the choice and can stop sinning they will be judged and need Jesus to forgive them..

if men could not stop sinning then they would not need Jesus, they could not be judged! unless God was a cruel tyrant

  • (Colossians 2:8) Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.

(1 Corinthians 1:20) Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

  • "LOGIC IS OVER-RATED".

When cars were first created, science believed that humans would suffer headaches and nose bleeds when travelling over 20mph.

Science remove the gene for eyes from some humble fruit flies and bred these. The gene began to return in the 5th generation.

    :)

  • "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD."

"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts."

    -Isaiah 55:8-9

  • one of my favorite scriptures

  • Thank you for this.I believe the Holy Spirit is truly your guide and teacher and for this I praise God.Continue to let Him use you my brother.God's continual blessings to you.

  • I appreciate you using the KJV, look forward to watching many of your other videos.

    thanks again

  • if the bible could actually be grasp by our logic, maybe i'd believe it. but sense it reads like a fairy tale. it'll always come across as a fairy tale.

  • Dude, you should make some audio tracks..lol You're that good man 8)

    Great video.

  • Note: When I say the Bible is "illogical", I am speaking according to "man's wisdom". I would say that the Bible is THE perfect "Logic". But many people who claim to be saved are not, make the Bible look illogical by their actions. Actions they claim to be governed by God's Holy Word.

  • For instance. A Calvinist claiming to be "logical" asked an atheist if he's "Got Logic?" This is after the Calvinist has stressed in teaching that "Logic" is the Word of God (God). Of course then the Athiest would be illogical according to the Calvinist. So then why did he ask the athiest if he's "Got Logic"? Point made.

  • I want to make it clear that I believe the Bible is perfect in every way, and of course, free of any contradictions. (Now let's go on with the message...)

  • Logic, according to Webster, comes from the Greek "Logos," which Webster defines as: "the divine wisdom manifest in the creation, government, and redemption of the world and often identified with the second person of the Trinity"

Therefore we read in John 1: In the beginning was the Word (Logos)

Perfect Logic? Whatever God decrees in His foreknowledge WILL come to pass.

Sarah scoffed at being with Child not because it wasn't logical, but because her logic lacked key data: God's Sovereignty.

  • Was it logical to have skin on the male genital organ and then God say, hey follow me and cut that off. Since i watched those jackasses videos, now I know why you did this video.

  • great video brother

  • "Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus." Acts 4:13 See? this is what reaches even the most brilliant of people. It is a wisdom that far surpasses what man would call, "logic".

  • God is the primary concept. The pseudo paradoxical energy that engages all perspectives. High and Low infer. All and Nothing depend. The most dispair concepts are the more complementary. Everything is connected by the same force that sets it appart. This is the logic that enables all others. God is the perfect.

  • I'm sure you mean well, but your words are beyond the common man and your expressions is not found in the Bible. i guess my message went under you head. well, that's where the meek and lowly are. the ones who come to Christ. The ones who Christ can use. the ones who depend on God and not logic.
