this is my mother Andra Willis Muhoberac overdubbing all of Olivia Hussey's singing in this movie. Check out "Share the joy" which is another scene from this great film i used to watch as a kid.
@wickedfeylady Well I heard the singing was dubbed in this film so it may not be her real voice after all. Liv is definitely dubbed, and I think Olivia too
I really love this film. I know it is completely cheesy and all the rest but I love the Bacharach score and I still think it is a great story despite the cheesiness of the 70's XD!
Sally Kellerman is a great singer, I remember back in '88 I was on holiday in Hollywood and staying at the Roosevelt Hotel, Sally was appearing there one evening ( Baker Boys style piano an all) she was totally FABULOUS!!
This video definitlely does not feature Liv Ulman. The actress singing with Hussey plays the part of one of the plane crash survivors who chosed to stay in Shangrila.
Liv Ulman played the part of the adopted daughter of the leader of Shangrila.
Thank you so much. I never saw the movie in '74 (bad reviews), but I bought and cherished the soundtrack. Now I wish I'd gone ahead and seen the movie when I had the chance. Do you have "When you search for the truth, don't just use your eyes.." etc?
No, you, they don't have "Where Knowledge Ends". That all ended up on the cutting room floor. Granted it's a sleeper song, but I think it was pretty & profound. (how pathetic to blog to oneself?)
I know; I'm falling in love with her too. Sally Kellerman is also great here; I read that only she and Bobby Van did their own singing in this movie. I love this scene - it's charming!
Thanks for posting! Wow! I was the only one of my close knit friends growing up who truly saw/sees the redeeming qualities of movies like this. This movie kicks ass!!!! I will say it now and I will say that forever!
It's a musical re-make of the story "Lost Horizon" where a plane crashes in the Himalayan Mtns and the stranded passengers find the mythical Shangri-La. It's got Peter Finch, Bobby Van, Olivia Hussey, Sally Kellerman and Liv Ullman.
How I love Sally Kellerman's voice; truly unique.

It's running slightly too fast?? Still, a wonderful song, fun scene and misunderstood movie. LOST HORIZON is actually very wonderful.

The singer who is performing with Olivia Hussey is Sally Kellerman, not Liv Ulman. See my previous comment.

Sally Kellerman provided her own vocals for the movie; Olivia Hussey's singing was dubbed by Andrea Willis.
