ok so im from florida...been born and raised here......my grandmas from south carolina.....my other one is a true floridia craker......my grandad is from south carolina too and my other one is a craker as well.....yet my momma dosnt like being southern....and my dad is "surf getto"....i just want to get to my southern roots....and be considered country.....i listen to bluegrass and country all of the time and dolly partons my favorite singer.......do u think tht i can ever be country????????????

My dad was a huge fan of Dolly's - always makes me think of him when I listen to her.

This was always my favorite of hers - I remember walking through the good hayfield as a child, singing this song at the top of my lungs! But I grew up in the Ozark mountains, so I replaced "Tennessee" with "Missouri" - doesn't quite have the same ring to it!

At Dollywood is a replica of dollys TN Mountain Home which still stands today not far from the park.. The replica at dollywood was built by her brothers and the inside of the house was done by dollys mother.

Junebug on a string? A junebug is a jewel green dung beetle, large and sturdy. We'd tie a string to a junebug's leg and let the bug fly around our heads. Seems cruel now, but at the time it was as much fun as catching lightning bugs.
