I think the best way to start reaching for divinehood is through Guru devotion and remembering the kindness of loved ones. These sound simple but it takes a bit more of wisdom and understanding, not to mention collection of merits to fully perform.
Spiritual practice to become divine begins with real inner transformation reflected with altruistic motivated actions. Hence, a person can be doing a lot to help others can be ego by trying to look good or offering incense sincerely praying for a family member can be altruistic. It rests upon our intention. Hence teachings, contemplation AND formal practice of mantras and sadhanas help to transform this.
Isn't it in Tantra to take the result onto the path? Meaning to take the divine (Buddhahood) as the spiritual practice. Instead of waiting to be a Buddha, we visualize the Buddha on our headtops of within our hearts and we make offerings as we go about our normal self-indulgent ways and make merit. Tantra is so fun. Rinpoche taught this in one of his teachings.
We need a qualified outer Guru who can point towards the inner Guru. That inner Guru is what makes us Divine isn't it. For all seeking to be divine, check our Gurus For Hire Enlightenment For Sale.
pasquale2k, having correct and pure motivation is important but must be complimented by pure EFFORT... otherwise it is wasted... like Rinpoche sometimes joke: "Oh but I have good motivation what... but then no action being done... hehe... :D
Wow Im floored self-gratification suppressing our divinity! Yes, we spent our time & money mostly to make us feel good instead of making others feel good self-gratification in the expense of others i.e. suppressing divine!
Agree with you Ninje08, we should have correct and pure motivation when we do our prostrations, prayers and meditation. Always watch our mind, and also aware of everything that we do.....Practising Dharma help us to have clear mind thinking, and also increase our awareness.....
Mind transformation is very hard, but if we keep on remind ourself to transform, sure we can do it, as in this world, there nothing you cannot do, its all depend whether you wan to do it or not.....Practise Dharma, Prayers, Prostration and etc is some form of mind training where we should learn and take upon.....
Transformation of mind is always difficult but it is more important than the fake physical actions of prostrations, prayers, meditation... What we need is to do all dharma works and practice with pure motivation, pure effort...
Rinpoche, your explanations on the Dharma is amazing...divinity is something everyone knows and has...yet they seek it elsewhere but Rinpoche reminded me that it is within myself and how to bring it out...
Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, sir, you really need to go international and teach everywhere in the world. Many many people in the western world would benefit from your teachings.

Very profound dharma talk about divinity. I always thought divinity is of the gods but never see it the way Rinpoche explains.

Agree, if we have generosity, discipline, patience, effort and etc etc....it will makes easier for us to practise dharma......
tenzintrinlay118 2 years ago
We can be divine by cultivating the great perfections of generosity, discipline, patience, effort, meditation and developing wisdom.
And with these qualities, we can benefit other beings which is definitely something DIVINE

Very True Ninje08, what we should do is not only have a good motivation, but practicing sincerely and doing it with the best effort!
It is time for us to focus on others rather than ourselves!

I would like to know, is it ok for a monk to not wear robes? I thought Rinpoche was a monk since his 20s. This was earlier than that?
MoiraKelly1 2 years ago
what makes a monk is not his robes but how he holds his vows. So far Rinpoche has kept all of them intact. And that is what is important

This is the way to go with our life. Give up self gratification. Seek the truth and be divine.
