Well, my whole point is, as it was john who wrote this song, who pretty much shouted from the rooftops "i love LSD" is that both stories are right. i think his son came home, showed him the pic, he was like "i gotta write a song about this!" then as he was writing it he decided i got take some drugs, did, which explains why this song is so fucking awesome, and then later went "holy shit their right, it does say LSD...total accident though.
