Well the current fertility rate back in the old country(Norway) is 1.85 and my dad have 1 son, and 6 daughters. One of my cousins have 6 kids. Their problems are from more of a sense of pride for having a large (preferably male-dominated family). Africa's problems however are directly linked to Catholic rule. An even better example is Manila in the Phillipines. The problem is that since 1945 we have grown from 2 billion to 6.5 billion. We are stretching the earth's resources to breaking point but still very few governments are capable of addressing the issue of birth control and family planning.

@Rao665 I didnt blame the catholic church for all the population crisis. India is not a catholic country. Their problems are from more of a sense of pride for having a large (preferably male-dominated family). Africa's problems however are directly linked to Catholic rule. An even better example is Manila in the Phillipines. The catholic religion has totally messed up their rationale, and teaches them that condoms are evil, and having 10 kids crammed into a 6 foot by 6 foot shack is good.

Corporations get in bed with the govt, while the govt doesn't do anything about it because the corporation gives them X service for free or at a very cheap price. My point was that if corporations weren't in constant closeness with the government, didn't exploit people, actually had ETHICS, etc, then people would be more wealthy and wouldn't feel the need to constantly fuck and have kids. It's a fact that poor people who aren't that good in health have kids so educate them, let them have a well paying career and keep them away from bad chemicals and experiments corporations do and they and the world will be fine.
