  • I wonder if you can feel the bolts

  • Stings

  • stongs the nostrils but in a good way

  • what is that for?

  • The trick is to be in the cage, because the cage forms "Faraday's Cage" and there wont be any current inside the cage. So the next time the thunder is coming... take a cage with you!

  • telsa gun xd

  • wow

  • what if the guy outside goes to take a shit and forgets about u?

  • Thank you for risking for life for our entertainment. :)

  • What happens if you touch the cage?

  • @warlover23 You will become a part of a current divider.

  • ???

  • Awesome!

  • nice :D

  • Great angle! Now shoot it in 3D :D

  • man great secondary coil!, is it 60cm x 20cm x 21AWG??? i made a 57cm x 20cm x 23AWG

  • @08Kutt The wire is 0,7mm, but I made several secondaries to this coil with different parameters.

  • static electricity !!!

  • 0:36 OH no! He broke the sun!...

  • @Fratos9 ха! Хорошее чувство юмора!:)

  • Bet the teslacoil keeps away robbers. and other unwanted people.

  • @kitchenfromhell

I have a hand held Tesla coil, When my Annoying friend comes over I tell him to touch it, A tiny bolt of lightning hits his finger, His hair stands STRAIGHT up (His hare is a foot long!!!) and he yells FUCK. Doesn't hurt him, just another way of saying "Go away please :)"

  • Faradays cage, always fun to watch ^^

  • @omegalab don't try this at home? why do you try this at home :)

  • @lobitas3399 It's very simple, I don't undertake responsibility, if someone with less knowledge try this, and die/ignite his own home.

  • @lobitas3399 so if i know that i should ground the cage and keep my hands away from it and have someone who can shut down that thing and so on and so on i can try this at home?

  • @lobitas3399 just veteran tesla coilers should try this at home ;)

  • @PCBetaFusion Chlorine is much worse than ozone,

  • So if we can make ozone, why the hell aren't we putting it up into the ozone layer and getting rid of the groomhouse effect ?

  • dangeerr

  • Probably you were exposed to some x-ray from Bremsstrahlung effect. Beware!

  • Stun gun Vs Tesla Coil

  • Strobo pop

  • "And now, young Skywalker... you will die."

  • Awesome

  • So what was your electric bill like THAT month?

  • Eu morreria de medo de ficar em baixo dessa tela.

  • @edynhoh é tenso mesmo kkkk olha ai cara, sou do brasil e tenho uma bem grande tbm, espero que goste :) flw :D

  • TESLA

  • raiden wins.

  • Im your father ?

  • Buy today your tesla coil and receive for free a cage to put your children inside!

  • wow... the best thumed up comment only has 23 likes on it.... thumbs up if you agree

  • the real question is

    will it blend?

  • the thumbnail looked like some UFO

  • Awesome

  • THE POWER OF ELECTRONS!!

  • I wonder how exactly do they figure you'd go about doing this at home?

  • nice but.... will it blend??

  • i like purple electricity

  • after long copper chase: "come get me mova fuka!!"

  • 2,1 gigawatt :D

it really amazing, but i hope u r ok with the facture electricity

  • ill do that with my house. lightning-proof house.. I would send it for millions.

what happens if you touch the wire? nothing?

  • sounds alot like mistary of sound....

  • viharos időben nem rizikós ez?

  • @deryler Az állványt nem terveztem szeles igénybevételre, így rizikós, ha lefújja a szekundert.

  • Can you hold a key with your hands near to that? xD

  • can you film this in slow motion?

  • its almost electro house music;D

  • I wonder if your neighbors mind you doing this.

  • this is a expensive hobby

  • can I use to protec my home from robbers ?

  • hi

  • que encrivel

  • The stream Machine will need to kill you. xD

  • I want to try it at my home!

  • @agbuk2007 your home will blew up

  • Don't put you finger oudside.

  • It looks like a Ghostbusters Proton Pack repellent device!

  • i've got the tiny one =]

  • So hat sich Luke Skywalker gefühlt als ihn der Imperator fertiggemacht hat.

  • stick you finger out :D

    it will burn it xD

  • Tesla Coil: Zap Zap Zap Zap ^o^

  • Go, go TESLA COIL!!! :D

  • dont touch, dangerous ;-)

  • whats the power supply and capacitance??????? thanks :D

  • 0:40 it sounds like a blender XD and Ive shorted out some stuf ozone smells reeeely bad

  • What exactly does ozone gas smell like? And why shouldn't one breathe it in?

  • @soundseeker63

Actually it's pretty easy to make a very small amount of ozone. Just buy a piezo lighter, remove the piezo crystal, and do some sparks with it, and you can smell it from small distance. The ozone is toxic, but a small amount of it will not hurt you.

  • @omegalab I got ozone flushed into my ass by doctor. It's smells like a Bio-Fart.

  • @soundseeker63 The ozone smells kind of sour so to say. It's carcinogenic, since O3 dissolves into O2 and ,O' and this nascent ,O' is a free radical, so it's highly reactive. It will mostly damage your eyes and lungs if you're exposed to it.

  • @soundseeker63 on an old TV (tube tvs) (CRT) rub your fingers across it and smell the TV. that indescribable smell is ozone. i think it it 3 oxygen atoms stuck together, whole normal air is made of 2 atoms of oxygen

  • It makes me want to do it even more! And the ozone smell? Well, I don't have any HV things yet (still asking for one- if I dont get one, I'll build one) but I do have a poly blanket, a cool atmosphere, and hairy arm (Im 13 and a girl, but so whut?) and I can make sparks 6 inches long. If I make one arc to a silver earring near my nose, the smell is nauseating. XP terrible. I stopped for the night then.

  • OMG, please tell me that cage is well grounded to a solid silver rod at least 30 ft below...

  • looks soooo cool...is it even safe to be that close though lol??

  • That looks like at least a megavolt.

  • @zhmapper

No. Tesla coils have much lower output voltage, than people think. I got 1,8m sparks from this coil, and the calculated output voltage is 411kV.

  • @omegalab

why does electricity like metallic objects so much?

  • @mercanaries3 Metals have delocalized electrons in their crystal structure, so the electrons can move freely between the metallic crystal. You can find more precious answer in wikipedia.

  • @omegalab

how come you didnt touch the gate

LOL you made see a skeleton like in the cartoons

  • nice coil =)

  • Awesome Coil!!! I'm making a 6 inch / 32 inch tesla coil... what's the size of this tesla coil? how many mots are you using? whats the capacitance of the primary coil?, how many turns is the primary, and what kind the primary is (flat...)? AWESOME VIDEO! THANKYOU SO MUCH!!!

  • nice video, I like this one a lot. I am constructing Tesla coil too. what kind of power supply you use here?

    sorry for my english.

  • Nice coil!

  • i like the smell of ozone!

  • What is oozone? and will you die if you touch the fence?

  • Sounds like you're using a RSG with worn-out bearings??

  • you better hope some of the ozone isnt coming from the mots

  • @xXxXpatboiXxXx

Ozone from the mots? I learn something new every day...

  • @omegalab the mots could be arcing inside producing ozone/smoke

  • @xXxXpatboiXxXx

    Yeah, sure :D

  • A MOT doesnt produce smoke when overheated, it produces smoke, which is more toxic than ozone god bless =D

  • It works like this. The cage is made from metal and all the sides are connected with each other. The cage has less resistance then a human body so the electricity is pulled towards the steel. U see only 1 spot is hit by the arc but infact the whole cage is, from that, the whole cage is positively charged. So no current will form inside the cage from side to side (compare it with 2 magnets facing north to north, they reject each other). And that's why you're safe inside.

  • Strat1984 you dident kill your dog FAKE AND GAY BUT THE VID GETS 5 STARS FOR THE BIG TESLA COIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • is this your own tesla coil?

  • @zker666

    Yes.

  • Thats a nice one. It's funny, the creator putting himself in the path of his inventions xD

  • excellent video, great idea to film the discharges from so close. I think you had a great experience in that cage :) how was the noise?

  • OOHHHH!!!!!! PRETTYYY!!!!!!! haha lol

  • Don't try this at home xD

Who except from you has such a big tesla coil at home?

    Good video, cool tesla! 5*

  • i do

  • @Elektrobastler me :P

  • Ok i tryed this at home because it looked cool. When touched the FIRE button, my dog came outside, walked to the cage and pied on it.. Thnx for killing my dog.

  • That was awesome! Its like the discharge is like a spiral...maybe because the self magnetic field? Do you use a rotary spark gap?

  • "ozone smoke, don't breath this" xDxD

  • Now, that looks like fun...Except when you touch the cage, and go into cardiac arrest...

    Great video!

  • Funny thing: If you touch the faraday cage from the inside: Nothing happens ^^

  • good point...

  • no, if the cage is grounded properly nothing happens if you touch it

  • I love the Blendtec reference in the discription. Sweet coil though, what is your power supply.

  • 4x MOT.

  • That's quite a bit of top load your running there

  • Thanks for this video. Great angle to film from too! 5/5

  • it could if not for that faraday cage he's in

  • can it kill man?

  • that is scary lookin!

  • That's one pissed off Tesla coil.

  • tru dat

  • Use a high speed camera to capture the arcs. it would look amazing :)

  • Love the vid! What is your power supply voltage?

  • 4 mots @ 6-7kVAC

  • I take it that's in series? 1.4 kv per MOT?

You seem to have a pretty decent current at those sparks as well, they seem much more opaque than most other I've seen.

Wich probably means that they will hurt. Alot.

I'm underway of constructing one as well, with 2 MOTs, and a relatively small secondary and top terminal. But I'm having problems with poor spark-gap design(it is pretty small); it breaks constantly.

    What does yours look like?

  • You need a high speed rotary spark gap with a maximum 1mm distance between the electrodes. I have built one with 2 MOTS. It wasn't tuned, but made 2ft long discharges to the ground.

  • I take it thats between the wheel and the static electrode? Not between individual pins on the wheel?

    Because that would be...wierd.

  • you should use a neon transformer mots are very dangerous!

  • @xXxXpatboiXxXx

And you think NST is safe?

  • wow! nice angle!

    and the coils nice to

  • good looking tesla coil! did you build it yourself?

  • Thanks, yes I build it.

  • really impressive!
