anyone know how the structure will be? i am not very famileir with d2 i played alot of d1, and from what i remeber it was all single focused play, as opposed to WoW were u need groups and whatnot for dungeons. so it may seem like a silly question, but is that how d3 would be? would it rely on groups to do dungeons and is there "raiding" to get good gear and what not, or is it more of a single player sorta thing?

There won't be any raiding, and no part of the game will rely on multiplayer, although you can always choose to play online with others. You get benefits from group play, but it isn't necessary.

It's single player through and through. Designed with SP in mind and then given co-op features.

I noticed on the skill tree that all attack and active spells/skills of the Whiz are max at rank 1 while the passive ones can go up to rank 15. This could mean that a spell as small as charge bolt can be used even against Higher level monsters since there are some passive skills which improve tier one attacks

No, that's just because they didn't want to stat more levels for the active skills for the demo. The devs confirmed that the maximum level is 5, but it can be "increased" to 15 through some secret process.

Man all that rocks. the speed of that violet missile, the time bomb defense, how crazy that one spell was where it got bigger and bigger and just destroys. And the slasher which is some silly idea I had for power once where you could create a near infinitely sharp solid acting energy field and cut anything.

Looks like the team is using some D2 sounds temporarily - like the arrow sounds, and heard the D2 healing sound when you talk to a healer in town.

well the sounds should and must be permanent since the "arrow' and the "gold" sound are the remaining "few" which gives any Diablo game its identity
