I did the settings and everything worked then when i did render i was surprised cause it rendered in like 3 seconds. My video is about 3 minutes long. Then i go to my desktop open the video and its like not even 1 second of the video! please help!!

@TutorialsByMels you probably have the loop region selected ( the yellow/grey bar above the time line ) when you go to save your video after you choose your template scroll down to the bottom of the box and un check the render loop box and it will render your whole video. Hope that helped

@xReubZ it's because you have "Render loop region only" ticked. When you click render.. down there untick the "Render loop region only" and it should render all the video.

this is something realy wierd, i put EXACTLY the same options as you do in the rendering, and i just made i quicky video on 41 seconds, and when i rend it in the same things as you do my video becomes 0.1 second.

And if i try to upload it it says ''failed to convert the video file''

hey man for the part where you change the aspect ratio all you have to do is right click on the clip, go to switches, and uncheck maintain aspect ratio

hey man about the brightness contrast bit a really easy, more powerful of getting that pro, 'film' look is to copy your videos and paste them on a new layer above with the compositing mode set to 'overlay'

too much? just lower the opacity of that layer

Guy's I was using Camtasia B4 but purchesed Sony Vegas thinking it would speed up my rendering, however using the same settings for both Camtasia was much faster by as much as four times. Sony vegas is tacking well over an hour to convert a 6 min vid. I have listed my settings bellow, please reply if you have a fix. My Settings Type: Windows Media V9 Size: HDV 720-30p 1280 x 720 Mode: CBR Rendering Quality: Best Video Mode: CBR Frame Rate 30.000 Smothness: 100%

this video isnt widescreen ..... if you change the resolution of your desktop to 1280 by 720 and then record, then your video will be widescreen

If I select MainConcept AVC/AAC it does not let me choose a template. I take it that is because of the filetypes of my clips? I am using fraps to record - I am not sure of a solution. I am using windows .wmv and it seems to me that It could be better and more compressed. Any thoughts?

Wait, why use PAL? Your obviously from the US, NTSC is the US standard, you'll meet complications if you want to write to DVD or tape.

It depends on how long a video is, if its 3 minutes long it will only take 45 minutes to render and upload, if it's 7 minutes it will take 4 hours.
