Has anybody noticed how fair those games were back then? Hardly any fouls. The worst foul of the match by a German player was something that would be seen as peanuts today. The player actually went straight over to apologise. Those were gentlemen playing football as opposed to those narcissistic millionaires with a rotten attitude on the fields these days…

They gave you this world cup. I mean your second goal, Kocsis' ungiven penalty and Puskas' ungiven goal.

But they've taken away from you the world cup in 1966.

If the referees would have been better, you'd have still 3 victory, England 0 and Hungary 1. That would be better for everybody.

Of course Hungarians don't hate the German team.

It's just still very painful for us to watch these pictures and accept that the best football team of all times lost this Final, especially because they were not beaten for 4 years before this match.

Losing this World Cup final was a real shock for the whole nation, the black day of Hungarian sport

And since then, our football is getting worse and worse.

Germany deserves only praise and congratulations for its results in football since then.
