  • Iqbal,my dear, dear brother. We watched this video in class, and i almost cried. Were reading the book Iqbal and i really like it so far,but since i know he died im not that excited for that part in the book, because i dont want him to die! He's only a little boy,who would do such a thing?Iqbal's master Hussian Khan was so mean when he sent him down in the tomb i was gripping to book so hard when that happend.Good job for you guys for raising a school for Iqbal.God Bless

  • My teacher doesn't know, but whoever read the book Iqbal, is Fatima-Iqbal's friend- real? My teacher doesn't know. Can anyone tell me?

  • @DiNasSaUr

I believe that she is. Read the other book Iqbal Masih and the Crusaders Against Child Labor. This book is really good.

  • @danielaboliviana Ok maybe i will, thanks.

  • When i was reading a story about him in wikipedia, I cried.

Definitely a great struggle for such a small boy,

and can you imagine that one who killed him using shotgun?

What did those people think, killing a small boy in such horrible way? For God's sake!!

  • My teacher showed me this in class. I am 12, and I don't think I could do anything as amazing as this. I wouldn't have the courage to escape. He worked so hard to get to this point. R.I.P Iqbal. R.I.P

  • I watched this video in my class. we are studieing child labor. We have desided to send money to schools for iqbal. I am 12, and Iqbal Masih has inspired me that no matter how old you are, you do count. Thank you Iqbal. R.I.P

  • I Can't believe that Iqbal's family sold him for 12 dollars just so they could have a "proper" wedding for their eldest son. This makes me livid. No, way, way past livid. FURIOUS. OVERWHELMED BY ANGER. And seriously, he wants to go back to his mom? His "so called" parents? I think better parents would rather die than make kids go through this pain. Thanks anyway Iqbal, you're a hero to everyone, including me. Those...slugs who shot you deserve to drown in mud.

  • @MusicalMusic88 It wasn't for a wedding for their eldest son. They needed a loan to buy medicine for their eldest son. And it was bonded labor, not selling him. They thought they would get him back once the debt was paid off. And he doesn't want to go back to his parents, he's dead.

  • I can't believe he died at age 12 i'm really sad!:( for his family and him. Inshallah he will go to heaven. and i hope the kids in slaverly will get freed.

  • iqbal you make me free,

i wish you neva got shot :'(

you make so many people happy forr what you had done.

you had changed fatima's like and everyone els there in the

    carpet factory with hessin kahn..

    :(

    now i feal really upset.

  • That is my school and my homeroom! Mr Adams told us about Iqbal a few months ago and showed us the chair Iqbal sat in when he was there.

  • fight for are freedom lol

  • I love the story of Iqbal....He's just so amazing:)

  • hi our teacher made us READ this it was rubbish

  • yeah we are reading this too lol

  • me 3 !!!!1

  • as long as you can't empathize with those suffering in the world, you will live in your own self-absorbed, self-gratifying little world -- WAKE UP and show some compassion, for crying out loud! Not everyone lives as spoiled a life as you!

  • honestly he looks like a crack head just saying

    R.I.P. IQBAL

  • our teacher made us READ this book it was a pretty good book to say the least.

  • same here

  • I thought only whitey was capable of slavery! Must remember this for my next class on cultural relativism.

  • iqbal was a great person

  • i would like to know, whether the children were able to open a school in Pakistan?

Because, Iqbal was from Pakistan and he had a dream for his country.

  • Iqbal = TRUE HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • .i mss

  • iqbal is the best person man that book made me cry when he died. the things he went through. i wish i was born to see the day he spoke!

  • where u get the book and whats it called? a presentation came to our school and talked about him and HE IS A HERO!

  • the book is called Iqbal its the greatest book in the world..

    R.I.P IQBAL!

  • i love this vid but i was wondering...how did you get it? It's BMMS's property and i asked Mr. Adams and he said he didn't give it to anyone.

  • nice job putting this together!!! I remember Mr. Adams talking about Iqbal visiting the class when I was in his L.A. class. Too bad, I was too young when he visited BMMS. I didn't even attend BMMS till like 9 years later. but yeah.. I was angry when Mr. Adams said Iqbal was shot when he went back =T

  • i have read the book nice nice

  • i have read the book and it was cool and shocking at the same time poor iqbal

  • He is cute

  • I read the book, it's a fantastic read and very inspriring

  • Iqbal was a Catholic in a predominantly Moslem land....... he was killed coming home from Mass. His backpack had a Bible & picture of Jesus!

He is, in Catholic terms, a Martyr!

He is what Catholics should be: people who work for the good of anyone, not simply their own.

I find it sad we don't hear about this Catholic young mans faith!

The press covers, for the most part, the bad things about religion. This is a good example of not only courage, but discipleship!

  • My teacher had showed me this story also and i could not get over it.

  • we just got done hearing the story and seeing it and it was the most sadest story i ever herd

  • an organization came to my school called think we and they showed me the story of iqbal...... i feel sry for him

  • Wow thats one amazing kid..hey im only 11 but dude if i where sold to a rug factory i wouldnt know what to do... My teacher show me this on the smartbored and all i could think is....The Power Of 1... if everyone where like this it would be a beter world o.o 5/5

  • we read the book in school. it is very touching. I am going to hold a fundraiser to raise money! You guys should host a fundraiser also! for unicef.

  • This guy was so like you know..

  • I wish you were alive Iqbal who killed you I read the book?

  • i read the book too, i think it was pakistan`s factory owners...

  • im showin this to my social studeis teacher 2morrow

  • I knaow Iqbal It is true that he was real hero,it was not murdered by loom owner. According to the statment of the father of the Iqbal Masih, and also according to the investigation couducted by Goverment Agencies in Pakistan He was murdered by Ihsan ullah An FIR was also registered against the said Ihanullah. The real story was that Mr Ihsanullah killed Iqbal Masih in order to tarnish the name of Pakistan and to earn money to cash the death of Iqbal.

  • @asadullahkebarat

Where did you get this information? Ihsan Ullah was the guy who helped Iqbal read and free him, he was a father figure to Iqbal, but I do believe he has to do something with the money. his real name is Ehsan Ullah.

  • Iqbal my Brother ! I cant feel exactly what you felt when bullet struk you but I know it was really so painful. I salute your courage and I know you are in the Bossom of Father Abraham. I am writing a book about the child labour in pakistan and I will dedcicate it to you. I love you so much, you are a role model for me.

  • @razajogi It was not a bullet mate

It was a bird hunting shell

with tens of small lead balls in it

    That many times more painful

But he is a legend no doubt about it
