We should pay homage to our pagan roots if we are to be intellectually honest. Christianity is an insipid johnny-come-lately to all the celebrations that preceded it. @MrRedneckcracker yes it's sad, especially when they say if you don't beliebe in Jesus you go to hell, people who committed suicide will go to hell. A christian monk has already said that lots of monks go to hell because they weren't entirely fidel to their job or because they're a bit hypocrit. I think that that kind of God is hell scary, calling him "Love" sounds really odd.

Why do you fret about it? From the evidence available, Saturnalia was no fun for those sacrificed nor those affected by the disorder - murder, rape? Christians will do anything to convert peoples into their religion hence the false celebration to mask pagan ritual into a christian's one, easier for the pagans during that day to convert. they retain their culture but embracing christianity. but the problem is what will happen next? the value of Jesus teaching have been fade away, just like what happen to the corrupted bible... 2-3 phases of transliteration and you'd expect the message will still be pure?

I am apart of a ministry that tries to go back to the original language, Hebrew, and get a better and greater understanding of the scriptures. If you start telling people the King James Bible has some discrepencies, they act like you speak about the word of God or something.
