Do you know who Damien Jurado is? He used to be on SubPop? We were in a band together for a short time.

I take voice lessons at the local college, hopefully I will get a personal teacher soon.

I haven't heard of Damien or SubPop, sorry... but it's great that you are taking voice lessons, however to me it sounds as if you won't be needing a personal teacher. You could BE one!

Thanks for the encouragement, but being very close to going professional, I know that my voice is not up to proffesional caliber just yet. I need a master to train me. And I need to keep practicing the fundamentals.

That's awesome! If you're going to do different styles, though, you might need to ask about training for them. Some voice teachers do some styles and not others, although operatic training is the best for beginners.

We all have a good voice, it's just a matter of training. Some folks do have more talent then others, but that can be fixed.
